Arrival Story:
When I was just a wee kitten I was living in a U.S. West building parking lot. One day, I saw a man who was driving a U.S. West truck. Instinctively I knew he had a cat-loving family. I ran over to him and leaped into his truck. Although he was surprised, he didn't throw me back out. He took me to his home and introduced me to his family. I've been living here ever since.

Bio:
Several years ago there was a flood where we live. Our basement had about 18 inches of water in it. Now, it isn't my fault! Our litterbox and food dish had been in the basement, they were supposed to be in the basement! How was I supposed to know they had been moved upstairs? Anyway, I was going downstairs and suddenly fell into over a foot of cold river water! I ran upstairs, down the hall, into the master bedroom, and under the bed. My family came back and looked under the bed to see if I was ok. They were trying to be concerned, but they were trying not to laugh. Humph. One of my important household duties is to be an alarm clock. Lewis and Rev usually spend the night outside and want back in the early morning. Cattie (the mom) is usually asleep when they want back in, so I act like I'm going to knock things off the nightstand and dresser, and crawl over Cattie. Sometimes if she holds her left arm just right for me, I'll go back to sleep, but sometimes not! I love it when my humans pound on me. It makes me so happy! I also like being spun around and thrown on the bed. I hate dogs. For reasons I can't comprehend my humans have 2 dogs. I consider it my duty in life to attack the dogs and make life miserable for them as much as possible.

Forums Motto:
At the Bridge, without dogs

I hate dogs.:
I hate dogs. If I have never said I hate dogs before, come to my house and make sure I'm not sick. I hate dogs.

A few poems

I received a nice pmail from a lovely Caster family. They are so lucky, no dogs in their family.
I have requested the "no dog" area here at the bridge. Very nice, no barking, no chasing.

Here are my poems I received:

"I know God has taken you home. I'm just someone that's taken care of you," "It's hard to believe that you're gone. But you're in a more peaceful place than here. I'll see you when I can. Wait for me at the gates of heaven."

How can I bear to lose you, my precious gentle one,
To know that you will not be here when my day is done?
So much of my heart, my love, have I given up to you,
How then can I stand the pain now that your life is through?
My sorrow overwhelms me, the tears so freely flow,
How can I carry on my life, with a heart that's laden so?
Then the answer comes to me from the stillness in my soul.
Remembering the love we shared will help to make me whole.
I'll hold you in a special place, so deep within my heart
And in these loving memories we'll never be apart.
You will not be so far away, your presence I will feel.
I'll wrap myself in your memory and so very slowly I will heal.
The years we shared, the little joys, the laugher and the tears
My love for you will never die, but strengthen with the years
So fare you well, my precious love, I gently let you go
And pray to all the Gods there be that you will always know
I loved you so, my little one, that love will never cease
I gave you warmth, I gave you love, and now I give you peace.

A Cat's Prayer

To Those Who Love & Those Who Love Me

When I am gone, release me, let me go-
I have so many things to see and do.
You must not tie yourself to me with tears,
Be happy that we had so many years.
I gave you my love, you can only guess
How much you gave me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you have shown.
But now it is time I traveled alone.
So grieve awhile for me if grieve you must,
Then let your grief be comforted by trust,
It is only for a while that we must part,
So bless the memories within your heart,
I will not be far away, for life goes on,
So if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can not see or touch me, I will be near.
And if you listen with your heart, you will hear
All my love around you soft and clear.
And then, when you must come this way alone,
I will greet you with a smile and "Welcome Home".

My family received a nice note card from the vet today.
It has a poem on the front:

Grieve not,
nor speak of me with tears,
but laugh and talk of me as if I were beside you.
I love you so...
'twas Heaven here with you.

At the Bridge

I am at the Rainbow Bridge now. I am glad there are no stupid, idiot dogs here to torment me.
I was 13 years old. I suddenly took a turn for the worse and got very sick. I wasn't doing good at all.
The vet said some cats can live to be 20. But between 13 and 15 most cats go downhill fast.

I feel better now at the bridge. I am going to have a look around now.
