We went to the opthalmology specialist yesterday - 5/12/06 - at the Animal Medical Center in New York. Dr. Susette Aquino determined that Cecil was a candidate for reconstructive surgery to essentially create some new eyelids for him. He's an excellent traveler, via subway and bus, and didn't make a sound until the end of his exam when he got a little wriggly. Of course, the vets were charmed and I was proud of the "patient's" patience during the extensive eye exam. I took some photos and have more info on Cecil's blog, Rescued in Brooklyn.
