Arrival Story:
Our daughter found Stubby's mum pregnant and wandering the streets. She was half starved. 2 days later she gave birth to Stubby and his siblings. Stubby was like his mum - a bobtail. None of his siblings were. He was also the runt. When the kittens were 6 weeks old we adopted Stubby and his brother, Jimmy, so he wouldn't be lonely. A few days later we found Willow, about 7 weeks old, wandering the streets starving. So, we took her home with us and she joined Stubby and Jimmy to finish off the trio. (Willow is mum to 8 of the kittens mentioned below. Aya, a torty and white female we took in several months later is the mum of the other 5 kittens.)

Bio:
Stubby was never very healthy. We think this is because his mother was homeless during her pregnancy. We almost lost him at the age of 1 year, but we managed to nurse him back to health. Sadly, we found him dead on the floor in the summer of 2005. His housemates were: dogs - Brownie & Cheyenne; cats - Jimmy, Aya and Willow; kittens - Max, Kiyone, Whisper, Joe, Cow, Chicken, Spike, Rocky, Sly, Raffi, Leo, Mikey, & Donatello; and our ferret, Moose. Everyone is gone now except Brownie & Cheyenne. The kittens all found new homes, Aya and Willow went to live with friends of ours and Moose moved in with our daughter's 6 ferrets. Unfortunately, at the age of about 2 years, Jimmy got out and ran away. We never saw him again. We miss Stubby very much. He was a quiet and sweet kitty.
