Sun Sign: Birthday: September 20th 2003
 Coloration: Black

Likes: Exploring gardens (ours and all neighbouring ones).

Pet-Peeves: Being held like a baby with her tummy showing (she likes to be held upright).

Favorite Toy: Her rat filled with catnip.

Favorite Food: Whiskas - Sardine, Salmon, Chicken and Vegetables Flavour

Skills: She can sit on her hind legs, a bit like a meerkat.

Dwells:
indoors and outdoors

Arrival Story: After we had to have dear old Smokey put down in October 2003, we really missed having a cat. I was due to go interstate in November 2003, so we were going to wait until I returned and go to a cat centre and rescue a kitty. However, before I went away on my trip I walked past a pet shop that rarely has cats available. In the window were 4 gorgeous kittens and I instantly fell in love with the little black shorthair... The rest is history. :)

Bio: She was six weeks old when we bought her in November 2003. I'm pretty sure the other 3 kittens in the pet shop were her siblings (a black longhair and 2 tabbies).
She's a domestic shorthair to my knowledge, but people often remark that she looks like she has British Shorthair, or even Birman in her. I don't know for sure, but they may well be right.
She's not purely black. She a few little flecks of white across her body - one on her forehead, some on her chest, and a few on her back.

Today it was cold and wet, and cold, and wet.
Mud, water, cold paws, wet fur. I'm definitely not the kind of girl who enjoys rain.
Worst of all, my humans were out for most of the morning so I was stuck outside. I had to huddle up in a corner until they came home.
I made sure I was the first one in the door and went straight to the food.
It cleared up a little this afternoon, but it was still not very nice weather. Such a change from yesterday.
I decided to head inside early today. I went straight to my quarters and even though I was invited back into the living room tonight, I decided I'd head back to bed. I have a lovely warm sheepskin bed.
I must get back to sleep. I need to be well rested for tomorrow's adventures. I'm praying for fine weather. Wind would be nice - I do enjoy a slight wind. So many leaves and other things to chase! Oooh, I'm going to go and have some nice dreams. Miaow!

This morning started out as an ordinary day. It was a bit on the chilly side when I went out at about 6.30am, but I took my usual route around the garden to check that everything was in order.
Everything outside seemed fine so I popped inside at around 7.30am for a bite to eat. I noticed that two of my three humans were busy running around the house. I think it's what they call 'getting ready to go out'. I hate it when they do that because it usually means I can't come inside every time I want food.
I didn't stick around for long - I had lots of things to do outside, and one of my humans always seems to get upset when I rub on his legs during breakfast. I keep doing it because I know it annoys him. Hehe.
My suspicions were correct. A while later one of those big rolling things that makes a loud noise (a car?) left with two of my owners in it. They didn't come back for hours. I got to go inside occasionally though, because human number three stayed home. He was also outside for part of the day so I got to play with him. I like to jump out from behind bushes at him - I'm sure it scares him. Tee hee!
When it started to get dark and cold I decided I'd head inside for the evening. I have my own room behind the big door, in what I think is called the porch. I can see outside and I have a bed and a litter tray. Two of my owners still hadn't come back so Mister Human let me inside and into my room.
It was a few hours later that my good day turned into not such a good day. My other two humans had returned and one of them (my main human who is helping me write this), came into my room to see me. I thought she was going to let me outside or something, but she just patted me. Then she picked me up and because I was rather tired I didn't mind the cuddle. But to my horror, she then pulled out one of those smelly tube things, held me down, and squirted me on the neck [human's note: Molly gets a monthly dose of Revolution squirted on her neck to stop worms and fleas]. It makes me feel strange. I ran out the door and along the corridor to the front door. She followed me and told me to go back in my room. I sat there for a moment deciding what I'd do, but the funny tingly feeling passed so I went back to my room to sulk. She did give me a pat though, so I guess I'll forgive her.
I must go - I have to guard the house. While I'm in my room each night I look through my screen door to make sure everything outside is as it should be. When necessary I jump at the screen door, growl a lot and make tons of noise. It seems to do the trick.
