A munchkin cat has short legs like a corgi dog. Someone was asking so--I don't think there are any munchkin cat rescue groups but you can keep an eye on petfinder and craigslist for rescues.

We were fostering Oscar for a rescue cat lady along with his fat "sister" (quite odd looking, a fat munchkin). She enjoyed chasing down the athletic bengal cat who had to run to humans for protection or escape to higher ground. Oscar tried a "forever" home but it didn't work out.

I haven't noticed any unique munchkin cat traits other than the short legs. He has a siamese/tabby mix sort of personality. Just like his "sister" had a sweet British Shorthair personality (she looked like a rotund one with short legs). Still, it took forever to find them homes, and one was returned! But we are happy to have him back.
