Not Going To Be Retested

My Vet is not going to retest me for the Feline Leukemia test because the more sensitive one that she gave me which I tested positive for is 99% accurate. So I do have Feline Leukemia. My brothers will be tested with the more sensitive test in April.

I have been sneezing this weekend and so has Yoshi, so we will be going to the Vet this week.

I want to give a big thank you to Buddie's Well Wishers GANG for the Healing Blue Rosette and to Sissel for the Lucky Four-Leaf Clover. Very sweet of you.

Please just keep me in your thoughts and purrs. But save your Rosettes for others that are more active on Catster.

Thank you!

Today Casper, Yoshi and I got a package from Amazon.com delivered to our door. Grandmaw ordered us one of those new Drinkwell 360 Water Fountains for cats. I can't wait to try it out. Auntie Rocky Ann thinks we are really going to like it!

I want to thank Sissel for the Power of the Paw Charm. I am so happy she got great news from the Vet today and is getting all better!!

I Got My Shot

My Dads decided that I would be getting my weekly B12 shots at home. Less stressful than going to the vet every week. Dad Paul was given the job of giving the shot since he works at a hospital in the medical field. Good choice since my other Dad's job deals with corporate taxes. We were all a little nervous. But Dad Paul did a GREAT job and so did I!! The shot giving went very well. Whew!

I'm Hungry!!

I sure seem to have my appetite back. I'm eating dry food. I'm eating wet food. I'm eating on the floor. I'm eating on the diningroom table. I'm the only cat allowed to eat on the diningroom table. As you can see in my new picture, Casper wishes he got to eat on the diningroom table too. hehehe... Casper really just wants my food, no matter where he eats it. But he can't have it.

Thank you so much to Violet for the Heart and for all the purrs from his family!

Rocky Ann helped me decorate my page so it is more cheerful, now that I'm feeling much happier.

Biopsy = Good News

My Specialist called with the good news that my biopsy showed that my liver was fine!! There is a little inflammation on my intestines but nothing bad and she is going to give me an antibiotic for that.

She wants me to come in the office in 6 weeks to repeat the more sensitive Feline Leukemia test. She said if it comes back positive this time, then my brothers Yoshi and Casper will also have to come in for this more sensitive test also. Meanwhile she wants me to keep eating and be a good girl when my Daddy Paul gives me my weekly B12 shots. Yikes! I know I'm as nervous as he is.

I'm excited because Rocky Ann let me know that her Mommy (my Grandmaw) ordered something for us kitties and it is coming to my door on Thursday!!

Thanks to Sissel for the Power of the Paw Charm. We've both been purring for each other!

Thank you to Mercy & Family for the Power of the Paw Charm and all their many purrs!

All 3 of Us Tested (good news did not last)

This afternoon our Dads took all 3 of us kitties, me and my brothers Yoshi and Casper, to be tested at our regular vets office for Feline Leukemia. This would be a retest for me. The good news is....we all tested negative!!

We are still waiting to hear back from my Specialist Vet on the more sensitive test they took of me for this. And plus we will hear about my biopsy results sometime next week.

I wonder how many times I will end up getting tested? I think I'd like to stop right now while it says negative! For today at least I can be very hopeful. And I'm so happy my brothers are okay.

Thank you for all your thoughts and purrs for us.

Update:

The Specialist Vet's Office called and said that with the more sensitive test, I test positive for Feline Leukemia. That means it is in a persistant stage that I cannot get over. I thought I said I picked to want to be negative!! My Dads will talk to the Specialist next week and try to leave a message for my regular vet tomorrow. It is going to be a long weekend.

Thank you so much to Diego & LuLu for the Cup of Hot Cocoa. Thank you to Ashley Of Grimalkins Moon for the Candle and for watching over me. I spent alot of time sitting on my Dads' laps tonite. Dad Paul learned how to give me my B12 shot so he will be giving them to me weekly so I don't have to be stressed going to the vet each time. I'll now call him Dr. Paul!

It's always good to be home!

My doggie siblings Cyane and Bandit are always the ones to greet with me lots of kisses to welcome me back. They were very happy to see me come home this morning.

Now I will eat, play, nap and wait for my test results and hope for the best for me and for Yoshi & Casper too. I'm even purring for us!

Thanks again for all your thoughts, hopes and purrs. Thanks to Pippin for the pmails, Luci for the Power of the Paw Charm, Tommy for the Power of the Paw Charm and the info in his diary and DDP Sugar for the Cup of Hot Cocoa! Cheers to you being honored, Sugar!!

So Far Not Good (scope update & thank yous)

The Vet told my Dads that I tested positive for Feline Leukemia. Well, we know that is not good news. She did the test twice and is sending it out for confirmation. Now Yoshi and Casper will have to be tested too. So all three of us will be tested on Friday. They haven't told me what the scope showed yet. I am afraid to find out.

I can only hope the above test is wrong.

Thank you to Sully & Pansy for the White Rosette and to Violet & Family for the Power of the Paw Charm. Thanks to all those purring for better news!

Update:

I will get news on how serious the Feline Leukemia when the test comes back tomorrow or Friday. We are hoping this second test doesn't show anything and that would mean it is just in its early stages and I can try fighting it. If it shows something then it would be bad news.

I'm doing well after the scope. The Vet didn't see anything but that was just visual. She did the needle aspiration and the results will come back next week. I'm getting a B12 shot and will get them weekly for awhile. Also an appetite stimulator to make sure I keep eating.

Now it is the waiting that is the hard part. This is not a good start to the new year!!

Thank you to Teebo & Callie for the Heart full of Purrs. Thank you to Lucy & Family for the Power of the Paw Charm, to Sock & the Troop for the Gift of the Candle and to Mercy & Family fur my first Furever Diamond. Thanks to all the Catsters who are purring fur me!!

Sleepover

This is not the kind of sleepover I had in mind!

I had my repeat ultrasound this morning and my Specialist Doc saw that my liver was inflamed. My lymph nodes looked fine. So this afternoon she is going to take a needle aspiration biopsy of my liver during an endoscopy.

The Doc wants me to sleepover so they can be doing bloodwork on me through out the night to make sure I am not bleeding internally after the scope. TMI! Too much information in my opinion. I didn't need to hear that.

One of my Dads has to make sure to pick me up before 8am or I get charged for another night of sleepover. I'll be sure one of them are there bright and early to pick me up!

Thank you for all your purrs. I know they are really helping me get thru this. Thank you to Bellz & Family for the Power of the Paw Charm and to Bailey & Family for the Power of the Paw Charm. I will be holding on to those during the scope (at least in my mind!).

I will update my diary when I find out what the scope tells us about my liver.

Thank you so much to Sissel & Family for the Cup of Hot Cocoa and for their continued thoughts and purrs. We are keeping Sissel in ours too.

Wednesday is the Day

I have to rest up because Wednesday is my new appointment day for tests. I'm going to have to have my ultrasound redone. The Specialist Vet wants her own tech to read the ultrasound. She was taking a look at my previous ultrasound from my regular vet's tech and it looks like my liver was inflamed so they want to redo that. And then I will have the endoscopy. Then I think I will need a job!!

Thank you so much to Sissel & Family for the Heart. I was so happy to read Sissel's diary today and see that she started eating on her own. Way to go Sissel!
