Our newest kitty arrived two days ago. Since the new kennel Dad ordered hadn't arrived, Dad decided at least for now to put the new kitty downstairs with Asa and Tamby, in the kennel that Tamby had been in cfor a short time after Dad trapped him at our house almost a year ago. At first Dad was going to name the kitty Cassandra (Cassie for short) but since there was already a Cassie at our vet's, Dad thought long and hard and decided to name the kitty Catsy in honor of our dear friend Catsy who was a stray most of her life but lived her last couple of years in comfort in her human savior's home.
We will never forget the "Stray's Prayer" that was on Catsy's page and this is what our Catsy was, a stray who was very dirty and just become pregnant when Dad rescued her. She is home now and us upstairs kitties have STILL not seen her, but we hear that she is doing well so far and really wants to get out of the kennel. Her bowels are still in an uproar, who knows what she has been eating for a long time!?!? Catsy is about two years old and is a very lucky girl, she doesn't realize it yet but she will.
We will keep you posted on Catsy's progress and pray that our new little girl will thrive with the rest of us (11 in total).
Purring and praying for all missing kitties who have become strays that they may come home to their companions ot at least get companions who care about us as much as our Dad does.

Today Dad whispered in my ear (even though I can't hear (hee hee)) that he trapped a white female kitty three days ago and she is at the vet being spayed and all the other thing vets do when they see a kitty for the first time. Dad was really trying to find out if he should put the new arrival upstairs with us or downstairs with Asa and Tamby. He also ordered a new kennel for the kitty and it probably won't be here in time. Uh-oh!
Dad saw this kitty about 8 miles from his work place and 40 miles from home. He told me that God always shows him white kitties in distress. This little girl probably had been dumped and was really dirty and located near an old yarn plant in north Georgia quite far from any houses. He didn't see any other feral kitties, even though this girl is very hissy. She doesn't seem to be feral but obviously has a distrust of humans, especially if she was dumped.
Dad has real trepidations about bringing her home, especially since he is so busy with his job which is so far away and since he isn't able to give us as much attention as he was able to before. The thing which brought him to trap this kitty is the "Stray's Prayer" which he got off Catsy's page and tears him up every time he reads it. This girl doesn't appreciate what he is doing now but she will, believe me.
We will adapt, we have many times before with new arrivals. We know that Dad loves us all and would do anything for us kitties.
I have to go now, dear diary. We are looking forward to having this kitty come home in a few days.

This is May 1, 2008 and Cali is still missing and Mr. D is still missing and Twix is still missing. Our entire family is always purring and praying for all missing kitties to return home safe and healthy. Look at Lalo. He went missing near his home with many kinds of predators in the mountains and was found a few days later with a broken leg but SAFE. This is what we pray for, Lord, that all kitties may be safe and happy with their furever families. I am so lucky to have that and want the same for all kitties. Many blessings to Every Kitty for their health and happiness.

The "rules": Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Cats who are tagged need to write on their diary about the seven things and the rules. You need to choose seven cats to tag and list their names.
My Seven Facts:
1. I love to be close to my Daddy.
2. My favorite nickname is Ambi.
3. I don't like other kitties in my space.
4. My favorite sleeping spot is the pillow on Daddy's headboard.
5. I hate to be pilled and will usually leave teethmarks on Daddy's fingers.
6. Because I am deaf, I vocalize a lot with my Siamese meow.
7. I love to have my tummy rubbed.
I tag these kitties:
Shooter
Meekah
Shamus Blue
Beau
Icebox
Tessa
Simi

Dearest Apollo,
It will be two years since you left us on October 14, 2004 very soon. You were only 14 months old when you were struck down by a horrible upper respiratory infection. You were (apparently) unable to cope with this infection because you had contracted a lungworm from something you had eaten, a snail, slug or something else like that.
We all grieved so much when you didn't come home to us from the vet. Your brother Pooh was unconsolable and your buddy Presley just wondered why you weren't there with him and Pooh.
I have never seen Daddy so overcome with grief as he was that day. He had to go to the vet when Mommy called and said that you didn't have much time left, even though they tried everything to save you. Daddy told me that he almost couldn't see to drive the 3 miles to get there. He held you in his arms as the life went out of you and your soul crossed over the bridge.
On November 4,2004 Daddy told me that he saw a crow flying nearby as he was walking to his office from the car and the crow got very close and cawed quite loudly. He told me that he said "Is that you, Pollo? Are you being treated OK in kitty heaven?" and the crow cawed that he was and Daddy was momentarily glad. Daddy cried a LOT for the first 6 months after you left but it has gotten slowly better and your ashes are always nearby to comfort all of us.
Please let this diary entry serve as a memorial to you, Pollo Pollo, from Daddy and all your brothers and sisters.
We love and miss you dearly.
Amber Jewel, Noel (from Texas), Angel, Beau (from Florida), Presley, Pooh (your loving brother), Blanca, Starla, Nicholas, Wonder and Daddy

When Amber and Beau traveled with Daddy to Florida to place Beau with Linda Kloran's rescue, our car battery went dead in south Georgia. It was 98 degrees and I had to put Amber and Beau in a small cat carrier out in the heat. It was this way for an hour and a half until the wrecker finally came to take us to a station to get the battery replaced.
When we arrived in Florida, I was very aware that Beau was very distressed and fearful of his destination. We stayed in the hotel in Crystal River overnight and then traveled with Beau to Hudson, FL to take Beau to Linda the next day. Beau was so upset he developed some very bad mats in his fur in just a couple of hours.
Daddy cried soooooo hard when he finally left Beau on Saturday, Sept. 17. I knew that Beau was going to be adopted by a wonderful lady but that didn't make it any easier for me. I had abandoned my Beaubie. Through all of this Amber was so understanding and supportive of Daddy even though she was separated from her brother for the first time ever.
It has turned out that Beau is a very happy kitty, living with his momma Carolyn in the Tampa area. Amber and her brothers and sisters are with Daddy, soon to be just Daddy.
We miss Beau very much but we are happy just the same. We will soon have just Daddy. Momma is going to live in Austin, TX with our big sister Noel. We will miss you Noel but we do have each other. This is a special Tail of Devotion
