Arrival Story:
I was looking for a cat and near my work there was a lady who had some cats in a cage who owned a shelter where she took in cats who were abandoned. I talk to her and she had a cat I was looking for. After work I went to go visit a tuxedo cat at the age of approx. 1yrs old birth unknown. He was very scared and wouldn\'t let me get near him. He ran to the corner of the small room we were in. She showed me a few older cats but I feel in love right away with the scared tuxedo cat, just because I knew I had to take care of him. The next day I came up with a donation and gave the lady money to pick up Marquis. Marquis was in a carrier meowing and meowing until the lady went to go get him for me. I was so scared and excited to have him, he was my very first cat!
Bio:
Marquis aka Mouse was a very scared kitty, he was found with other siblings in a liter downtown. Most of his brothers and sisters got adopted. Marquis was left alone in a small space where they kept him untilIi adopted him. As I got to know Marquis I realized he was so loving, he talked alot. Everywhere I went he would talk talk talk!!! He slept with me every night!

One day, I got a call from work right as I was leaving to go home from my roomate, which I thought was odd because he never calls plus he sounded really sad. I knew right away something was wrong and I also knew it had to do with Marquis. I asked right away whats the matter with Marquis? He said come home right away! I panicked and drove home as fast as I could worried and already crying on the way. Drove half way up the driveway and ran up the stairs to the apt. and saw my roomate crying. I ran inside to see my Mouse asleep past away on his bed, cold and stiff as if he past away early that afternoon? Cause is unknown about his passing away, autopsy was an option but I didn\'t want to put him through anymore sort of pain. I just remained living with the idea of not knowing what happened. Which haunted me for a long time and still occasstionally does but I\'m still happy with my decision. We cremated him the next day, he lays in my room, where I can always see him. I love you Marquis! ♥
