Leash training-My Human-Purr-Sis needs encouragement...

I got a new leash today that is longer than my old one! We hardly ever used the old one except a couple of times. However this new one is for serious training for me to learn how to leash walk. I have always walked with my humans without a leash but in recent months I did something that made my Meowma and Purr-Sis worry about me. I sat down a foot from the sidewalk in the road while we (including the dog) were walking. Then a car came and even though it was not too close to me, saw me, slowed down, and went around. This isn't the first time they've pounced on my tail for doing something dangerous on our walks. But it reinforced for them the idea that if they put a leash on me I would be much safer. They also think our walks would be a lot more enjoyable and waste less time because they wouldn't have to wait for when I finally decide to rejoin them; I would be right at their side. My Purr Sis would be very happy for that to happen!! But I wouldn't be...I like roaming in yards and making the dog and my Humans wait for me!

Angel kitties

My human sisters were talking about cats and how they are so special because they only live a short time in comparison to humans. She said that kitties must really be angels which is why they are made out of fluff! Isn't that cute? Now I think I will go put hair all over the guest bed with a few crunchies (cat fd) left in the sheets since I'm an angel.
Oh yea and I got in a cat fight so now I look like a hairless sphynx on the right side of my head by my ear. That's where I was wounded and a scab formed causing the hair loss. If they think they will cover it up with a Christmas or New Years hat they've got another thing coming!

They got a dog!

So they got the Siamese-Beagle a beagle...yeah not happy with that. Just because they call me the "Siamese Beagle" because of my tricolor fur and my habit of going on walks does not mean that I WANT a beagle!! NO the opposite is true...NO dogs. Me no like. I will hiss at and stay as far away from that oaf as I can! I am paranoid that that mongrel will come waltzing by so I spend most of my day outside. When I'm inside I like to sleep up high on the dresser in Graysen's misstresse's room. I used to be the baby-always getting walked and sleeping on the master bed. Now the dog gets walked and sleeps on their bed!! Mrrrow-Fffft. But I am not giving up! The day after they got the dog and took him for a walk in the morning they left without me. But I followed and mewed my presence. I still should get the walks...after all my obedience and affection...I'm a cat for crying out loud! Anyway, so the girl took the dog and my mom stayed with me. That was okay I guess...but it won't ever be the same with that dog around! I used to be coddled and helped along the street like a toddler, not to mention being adored for my cuteness. At least I got a walk tonight...the girl took me down the street this evening after she had taken the dog to the park earlier. I hope they continue to walk me even if that dog keeps trying to take MY place because I still want to go!

Yes! I didn't have to go back to the vet! I am feeling great now and back on schedule for my nightly walk. I CAN'T BELIEVE I didn't chase Graysen when he was a foot away from me while I was sick!!! I just glared at him. It makes me so mad that I could switch my tail to know that that Graysen got full reign of the yard while I was sick! Acted like he owned the place probably. Now I'll have to keep him under full surveilance! The Mochy Watch is back.

Sick day

I haven't been feeling very well. Been sleeping out on the sofa so I won't disturb my mom and dad while they're sleeping. I had a little bit of a fever and I kept coughing up saliva once in awhile. The vet said if I don't start eating right and pick-up to bring me in on Monday...Well I'm not going back to that place and humiliating myself by cowering under my towel! So I've been taking my food (gravy off the can) and my antibiotics and even getting some air...a lot of air actually. Ahh I love summer!

Water-so interesting

Ahh there's nothing like a nice dip of the paw into the bowl, or glass, or whatever water container happens to be around! My favorite in the summer is the big green plastic watering can in the garden. I stick my head in the little hole, where the hose goes, to get a drink. Or I just stick my paw in a few times and take sips from my paw. I've gotten in trouble a few times for sticking my paw into Daddy's water glass in the house. He always says "Mo-o-chey!!" It isn't my fault he decides to leave it on the floor! My Daddy says he thinks I was raised by raccoons and that's how I learned to sip from my paw. I don't remember. I just know water fascinates me. Sometimes I hear a tiny stream of water in the house. It's always from where the house plants are and always when my owner is standing there. I go to that place and focus all my attentive energies on the water flowing from the miniature white can and get as close as possible. Eventually my owner puts the can down for me so that I can stick my paw in the hole for paw-sipping. It's so small though that my paw has only a little room to fit. One time I put it in and accidentally knocked the can over when I tried to pull it out...Oops!
I used to like to look at the bath-tub water flow too. It was so fascinating to see the swirls swishing about in the big white puddle. I wasn't scared though. I just wanted to drink from it SO badly! But the thought of getting wet disgusted me. So instead I tried using my paw to dab at the puddles of water on the sides of the bath tub to get a drink.
The best water experience of all was the time that my brother had to get a bath. They didn't even try to get me to have one!-why would they? I'm top cat!!! Anyway I was outside and heard splishing and whenever there's splishing I get really curious. So I rushed up to the deck to see where the water puddle box was and sat real close to watch. I couldn't help but sit there and stare as the water sloshed about in the box with Graysen in it and as they poured water down his back! Some cats would have been scared of the water but not me. To me it's entrancing...especially when my arch-rival is getting a bath in it! Meow-ha-ha!
