Little Miss was adopted in early June 2003 from L.A.W.S. (Lanark Animal Welfare Society) in the Smiths Falls/Perth area by my parents.
After adopting Poley a month earlier, I had gone back to L.A.W.S. to look for a friend for Poley and the only kitten available was named "Spike" (Little Miss) who was described as a 2 month-old male kitten (they didn't know she was female!)...but she unfortunatley had a cat cold and so I left the shelter empty-handed. My parents went to L.A.W.S. about a week later to look at cats and by then "Spike" had recovered from the cold and so he/she came home with my parents. We kind of thought that "Spike" was a she, but didn't know 100% until she went to the vet for her 2nd shots (we assumed that L.A.W.S. had given us the correct information..?)
Bio:
Little Miss used to be allowe outdoors sometimes in the winter until she stupidly stayed out so long that the tips of her ears got frostbitten! The tips are now permenantly darkened and 'fold' a bit and she is not allowed out unless it is above freezing!
