Arrival Story:
My sister's boyfriend called us one evening to tell us that there was a young cat living in the dumpster behind the restaurant he was working at and the owners were so frusterated with the cat trying to get in to get food that they were going to "get rid of it" so my sister went over and rescued the cat immediately. she appeared to be around 8 months old and had been starving. . . she had been eating grass! she smelled so horribly of the dumpster that it took a few baths to clean her up, but she had been so cold that she actually liked being in the warm suds! New Kitty immediately adjusted to being in the house, it is quite clear that she lived in a house before. She is one of the most affectionate, loving cats I have ever seen. She can just sit in your lap for hours, completely content just to be loved, and if you need to get up you can simply pass her on to the next lap and she is just fine! She has been spayed and is up on all of her shots and just looking for that special family to take her forever...

Bio:
Calli was hit by a car early this morning at her new home in Kentucky. She loved to be outside so much... it was her favorite place and it was very hard to keep her indoors. We are very very sad about her death... she was one of the sweetest kitties we have ever had. And she even became best friends with Rory Tortuga, which was a very difficult task :) Calli was burried in our backyard and we will be planting special plant by her grave.
