furry mice (they look real but are fake) and anything with CatNip in it! He was an addict.

Next to mommy or in the laundry basket with nice warm clothes from the dryer in it.

Ice cream, cheese, anything his mommy ate, Friskies wet food. Tuna

He could walk on a leash and he would lay on the car seat or floor when in the car. He hated the cat carrier.

Arrival Story:
We had just gotten a kitten from a friend when it died after a week. We then found out a neighbors cat was pregant and they called us the day she had the kittens. I went straight there and picked General out when he was 2 hours old! We were together for almost 18 years when old age finally caught up with him. He was my baby boy and I thought I would die when it came time for him to take the Rainbow Bridge even though it was the right thing for me to do. It has been almost 7 years and I still miss him. He was with me through thick and thin and always knew when I needed my spirits lifted. I even took him to work when we had a family day at work! He strutted off the elevator on his leash like he owned the place! All the kids had made posters and General even made one and won a prize! My ex husband loved anything to do with the Civil War - even if he did want the wrong side to win (the South) and he named him after General Robert E. Lee. He lived up to his name of General and ruled the roost Occasionally he got demoted to Private when he misbehaved but that wasn't often.
Bio:
After I became single again, I took a trip to my mother's home town in Illinois and we went to visit Lincoln's Tomb in Springfield, Illinois. I bought a postcard of Abraham Lincoln and mailed it to General Robert E. Lee at The Cat Nap Motel where he as being boarded. The caretakers liked it so much they wouldn't let me have it back when I got home. They said he knew it was from me when it came and the even read it to him and posted it on his cage while I was gone!
When I finally got 2 more cats - Jacob and Cathy- whenever I would punish Jacob or Cathy they would run to General and he would put his arms around them and hug them as if to say it was okay, Mommy would get over be mad soon!
General, you were the best cat ever and I can't wait till you, Jacob and Cathy meet me when the time comes for me to cross that Rainbow Bridge. Hugs and Kisses GenGen.

General-
I miss you so very much even though it has been almost 8 years since you have gone to the Rainbow Bridge. We were together almost 18 years and one of the hardest things I have ever done was to let you go even though I knew it was time to let you. I know you are having a blast at the bridge while you wait for me to one day join you. You, Jacob and Cathy are all together again and you are once more watching out for them like you did when you were all together with me.
You were with me through some of the worst and some of the best times I had while we were together. You always knew when I needed a furry shoulder to cry on and when I needed one to laugh into. I'll never forget how you hissed at your first daddy after he left us and then one day came to drop off the house keys. Thank you for protecting me that day!
I talk about you all the time and tell them what a great companion you were. There will never be another one like you.
Until we are together again, know that I love you and miss you so very much Genners.
