Arrival Story:
My beloved cat, Fluffy, had passed away and I was having a rough time dealing with the pain from her loss. She had cancer which spread to her brain and caused her to have a seizure. She went paralized from the waist down and had to be put to sleep. About a month later, while I was getting two dog tags for my dogs at Petco, I noticed this small little loving kitty looking up at me from a cage. I bent down to get a good view of him and he immediately rubbed up against the side of the cage, wanting to be pet. I told my mom that he would be the perfect cat and that if we didn't take him, he might not have a home for Christmas. My mother gave in and we told the manager that we wanted this cat, but to our surprise, a lady was coming in to look at him already. I was devestated. My mom took me to Starbucks to get a drink and as we were coming back, the store manager was walking outside to meet us and he said, "The cat is yours!" Apparently, the lady had wanted a younger kitten than Oliver was!
Bio:
Oliver comes running to his name and will follow you around the house like a dog. In fact, I think that HE THINKS that he is a dog! He lays with the family's big yellow lab, Candy, in front of the fire, grooms Candy, wants to eat Candy's meals and snacks, rolls on his back when he gets too warm (like Candy), waits at the front door for you when you get home, runs around like a puppy, and breathes heavily like a dog does! Oliver is also VERY playful (hence the last two pictures)!
