Rollin On The Concrete

I've moved and I have a backyard! Mom & Dad let me & Bianca outside and I got to roll in the sunshine! THE SUNSHINE!! Can you believe it?!?! I haven't been outside in the sunshine since I was a kitten and I'm 12 1/2 now! Man does it feel good to rub my face on the concrete! And the smell! I actually smell like DIRT when I come inside! Mom hasn't been to happy about that but does it sound like I care? Me & Bianca shared a chair yesterday. We both just layed there soakin up the sun. I think I even got a tan, under my fur! Maybe, I glow orange now! Either way, I LOVE my new backyard and I'm so happy! To top things off, Mom gave me & Binky our own room! No more being stalked by the babies! I can eat & sleep in peace! Wow! I had forgotten life could be so good! It used to be this way until Mom & Dad brought home the two youngest. Now they rule the house and me & Bianca are stalked constantly! Not anymore! We can relax in peace in our new house! I love being spoiled! PPpuuuuuurrrrr.....

My New Litterbox

Mom n' Dad are always trying the newest thing PetSmart sells. Whether it's new bedding, new food, new litter, etc. (I think it's mostly Mom) Well, they decided to get us a new litter box. One of those fancy ones with the litter-catching ramps. It has a lid and everything! Well, when they first brought it home, Mom did a really job cleaning of the old ones and refilled with fresh litter. I always like it when she does that. Then they showed us the new one. My brothers were all very curious and liked the lid more than the litter pan. And of course, no big surprise, I'm too big to fit in it. I'm too wide to get through the tunnel so I can get back and use the litter! I can't even get my shoulders inside to have a look! I think Mom & Dad are going to take it back. All I can do is laugh at them cuz they know better! I'm a big boy! Ahem... it's all muscle, of course.

My New Food

My parents buy us only the best. This includes toys, beds and especially food and water. We have a water fountain that I love to drink from cuz it reminds me of the toilet. Mom has even had to change our food so we all stay healthy cuz we're all so far apart in age. Last night Mom went to PetSmart to pick up some Fancy Feast & our dry food, Royal Canin. There was a sales rep for Nutro Brand foods there. Mom asked her some questions and eventually decided to change our entire diet again. Man, am I exited!! I LOVE my new food! My parents were *so* impressed by the lack of smell put off by the food. I guess it's suppoesed to help with litterbox freshness, too. Mom laughed while I was eating cuz I purred so LOUDLY the whole time I was munchin down. I love, LOVE! my new food. I am one lucky old man. I have great parents. Purrrrrrrr...........

Rollin' In The Catnip

Mom brought home a tub of catnip yesterday. My 2 youngest brothers aren't used to it yet and, man, they really freak out! Mom always gives me my own pile to lick, eat and roll in but Ebin kept stealing it! He had his! Mom kept putting him back on his pile, though, so I got in some good rolling time. That stuff makes me sleepy. I just LOVE resting in it... Mom jokes it makes me lazier than I already am! Gotta be good at something, right? (and it takes practice!)

Snoozin In The A/C

I'm the oldest (and biggest) in a family of 5, 1 Sister and 3 brothers, all younger. Being big and orange isn't easy and when it gets hot out, we all have to find cooler sleeping spots until it gets hot enough to turn on the A/C. My favorite spot normally, is in the HUGE brown basket at the foot of Dad & Mom's bed but during the summer in the daytime you'll usually find me in the bathroom, on the kitchen floor or possibly right smack in the middle of any open floor, stretched out as far as I can reach. The past few days, however, Mom & Dad have left the A/C on for us cuz it's been almost 90. Although I really like to spread out on the armchair on the patio, I'm getting used to napping on M&D's bed while they're away. They leave the blinds closed in the room so it stays nice and cool for me, as well as dark. PPPUUURRRRRRR.... I love my life... I'm so spoiled...
