It stinks getting older

Well I can't believe how long it's been since I updated my diary-
First off I want to wish all my friends a pawsome Halloween.

I've been feeling under the weather for the past couple of weeks. Mommy noticed that I've been coughing quite a bit, so where do you think I wound up? Yes, I had to visit the Doctor. I was scheduled to go next month for blood work so we got that all taken care of as well. My blood work came back all normal.. thank goodness. Then as she checked my heart I've developed a low grade heart murmur, and I also have been diagnosed with bronchitis/asthma, and high blood pressure too. My Doctor wanted to treat me with steroids but wanted to make sure my heart was in good enough shape for steroids (I got jealous that my Brother had a cardiologist and I didn't) so we made another trip for me this time to see the cardiologist in Delaware. In doing the ultra sound the cardiologist found some thickening on my aortic valve. I am on medication for high blood pressure and clavamox based on the heart valve for four weeks. I went back to see my regular Doctor yesterday and my blood pressure has dropped a bit after they checked it several times. I'm taking a low dose steroid for the bronchitis, the cardiologist said it would be ok short term to help reduce the inflammation. It's just going to be a trial right now to see how my symptoms are. If it doesn't help they might be able to try something else. I'm eating good and haven't lost any weight. Mommy & Daddy say between Me and my Brother we have more pills than they do, and plus we also get a discount at the pharmacy.
We don't know how long I've had the murmur but it wasn't there 7 months ago at my last appt. The cardiologist said hopefully with lowering my blood pressure will help with my heart murmur. I have to periodically have the blood pressure checked.
I'm keeping Mommy and Daddy busy taking care of us both. They say they wouldn't have it any other way. I'm still the loving little boy I've always been.

It really stinks getting older!

Please save your gifties, gentle purrs are always accepted.

Love Always;
KiKi McSqueakers
