YOGERT AND TWINKIES
Toy mice and empty spools that once contained thread
Favorite Nap Spot:
my bed or my tummy
Cat food dry and moist and any flavor of yogert
She was able to tight-walk tops of doors and play fetch with empty spools.
In 1981 I used to live in Somerville, Massachusetts and my Dad lived in Durham, New Hampshire and had a cabin on Mousam Lake in Sanford, Maine. On one of my visits en route to Maine, I saw a sign saying "free kittens". This is where I found Isis. She was just weened recently. I brought her home to my place in Somerville, MA.
Isis lived to be 16 years old. She was with me from 1981 until 1997 and moved with me from Massachusetts to Florida and from Florida back to Maryland. She passed away from thyroid problems and old age. She was on thyroid meds for about a week, and it didn't seem to help her. When I came home from work on April 1, 1997, I found her lifeless body under my bed. I was devastated.
She was one of the most affectionate and lap cats that I have ever had. When I would take a nap, she would curl up on my tummy and go to sleep. She was very playful and loved rolling around empty sewing thread spools. I would throw them and she would bring them back to me. She was the first "playing fetch" cat that I ever had. Sampson Silver Dollar is the second one who has that skill. Also, she would jump up on the dresser in my bedroom and then leap from there to the top of the bedroom door. She would tight-walk the top of the door. Isis loved yogert and whenever I finished my share, I would allow her to lick the container. She would lick it clean! Isis is now at Rainbow Bridge along with her buddies Max, Bentley and Jasmine Bibette. In her life the only one she bonded with was Max, but now at Rainbow Bridge, I believe she and the others are all friends. Isis is still missed to this day.

May 1st was my birthday too! If I were still on earth, I would be 30 years old! Not many kitties make it that far, and if they do, they're in the Guiness World Book of Records. I think the oldest kitty mentioned in that book was 32 years old. Also, Mommy's friend, Rob, had a calico named Priscilla who made it to 25 years old. God called me home when I was almost 16 years old. I died of thryoid problems and other issues which were unknown. The vet speculated it was old age.
Anyway, this is my first diary entry besides Mommy's "Tail of Devotion". I'm not much of a writer and have been at the Bridge since April 1, 1997. I figured I'd give it a shot today.
I've gotten birthday gifts yesterday and today and I'd like to thank my friends as follows:
1. MILO & Family - purrty heart;
2. KAYLEIGH & Family - pawsome pawmail & cool "Feel The Love";
3. PATCHES - pawsome pawmail.
At the Bridge there was a magnificent May 1st birthday pawty! A lot of Catsters were there and of course, our angels Bentley, Max and Jasmine Bibette. At the Bridge, everycat and everydog know each other, and the pawties are all day affairs. Food and music is abundant there along with warm weather and sunshine.
Well, I must go now. I hope everycat enjoyed my first entry.
Purrs & Mews,
Oh, by the way, there's lots of yogurt here for me!

Isis, I got you in May of 1981 in New Hampshire and you stayed with me until April 1, 1997. We were together when I moved from Massachusetts to Florida and then back to Maryland. I very well remember that you were my tummy-warmer and one of the most affectionate cats I have ever had. You were very smart and liked to play fetch with empty spools of thread. When I got Max, the two of you bonded instantly. You also had this thing for yogert. Whenever I finished my container of yogert, I always let you lick the bottom.
You are still missed and I know in your last days, you had lost a lot of weight. The vet said you had an overactive thyroid and he put you on meds and you only made it for one week after that.
I feel good that you lived a good long life (16 years) and it was time for God to take you home. You are in good hands now and at peace. Max, Bentley and Jasmine Bibette are there with you to keep you company.
I know it's been almost ten years and I STILL LOVE YOU, MY ISIS
This is a special Tail of Devotion
