Arrival Story:
Mom had just lost her huge, fluffy, ragdoll kitty to an illness and was looking for a new kitten. She was joking around with a group of friends about her long search and said that after all the mounds of white, fluffy hair shed by her last cat that she was going to get a hairless cat because she couldn't take the shedding anymore. She was totally joking but one of her friends started telling her about how her parents had always had sphynx cats when she was growing up and how great they were. After talking with her friend some more, the search was on.
Mom finally found a breeder that she felt comfortable with (InquizaCat Cattery in Tampa, Fl) and then I was born a month later and it was love at first sight! Mom had to wait 16 long weeks until I was old enough to come home. I flew all the way from Tampa to Atlanta in August 2005.
When Mom took me out of the carrier it was the first time she had ever actually touched or held a sphynx and she thought it was wonderful (so warm and soft!). I was fearless from day one and now rule the house like the queen I am!
Bio:
I purr so loud that when my Mom is on the phone the person on the other line can usually hear me!
Also, I have what they call a chamois coat, so I feel like suede.

Sphynxy Fun:
Like any good Sphynx I'm clumsy (hey, if you didn't have any wiskers you'd be pretty clumsy too), not that I let that stop me from jumping on things and running wild laps through the house.
I also have a very sensitive sphynxy stomach. This means that I eat special food. But every now and then I get into something I'm not supposed to (like dishwater) and get a wicked case of the farts...and boy can I let them rip!
As my fellow baldies will know, I also enjoy nesting under the covers and sleep in the bed at night burrowed down by mom's feet. Mom has promised to get me a heated cat be for my sunroom.
Lastly, I'm crazy smart and super curious. I think I can talk and I'm not afraid to carry on a conversation with anyone who will listen.

Hey everybody...it's been so long...but I've been super busy laying in the sun, catching lizards and bugs, and lately hiding from the cold winter weather (sheesh, we live in Florida, you'd think it wouldn't be so bad)!
So, as I was warming in front of my space heater tonight, mom gave me very good news: I'm getting a little brother!
Mom said he was bald, just like me, but different colors (she said something about a tuxedo but I really don't know why he'd want to be so dressed up all the time, oh well).
I can't wait to have a bald friend to run around with, yay!

Oh, lizards...welcome to my home! I'm not really sure how you always manage to get in but I do love when you come to visit. I'll play with you, if you let me, but I promise to be very, very careful! I'll never bite or claw you....but I might hold you in my mouth for a little while, you are very tasty after all...

Mom and Dad brought home two new bird feeders last weekend and finally, FINALLY the birds started to show up!
Mom put the feeders up just outside the windows of the sun room so that I could get a good view of my feathery prey. And then I waited patiently all week but no birds would come (mom says they didn't know the feeders were there yet). I sat in the sun room everyday and waited and waited and waited...and then on Friday all of the sudden there were TONS of birds for me to lick my lips at!
Mom and Dad think the noises I make when I "hunt" the birds are funny but I don't think it's any laughing matter...this is serious kitty stuff! I like to slowly, slowly sneak up to the edge of the windows and then JUMP up on the sill and scare the birds away...silly birds!
Anyway, time to go check the feeders.
