YEAH FOR SPRING!!!

Well, mom has decided not to get the electric fence for the backyard. She said she really didn't want to ZAP me just so I can go outside and enjoy the yard. SO.....she bought a new tie out stake, a pretty pink harness and a 10 ft leash to hook me to. I got to use it the other day, and it was nice being able to sit under the tree near mom and dad watching the birds at the feeders. (To bad my leash is only 10 ft. I sure would like to catch one of those birds)

And as you notice mom STILL hasn't updated my picture!!!! She didn't like the last one she took. She said maybe she would take one of me outside and put it up. Yeah...right....I'll believe it when I see it!!!

A full stocking!

Santa came last night!

I got a huge stocking of toys from my mom's friend. Plus, Santa left another toy with dangley things on it for me. Mom said she is going to attach it to my big perch, and see if I'll play with it there and HOPE I start using that as my scratching post instead of her furniture. And, mom and dad got me my can of chicken for my Christmas breakfast.

But, it sure wasn't the same with Bubba no longer here. This is our first Christmas without him, and he sure was missed. Mom was sad when she went to put up our stockings and saw his.

Plus, mom FINALLY got a new picture of me!!!!! It's not the best background at the moment, but at least it shows how big I am now. She'll be putting it up on my site soon.

Mom still hasn't gotten a new picture of me on my page yet! I mean, for crying out loud! I'm a full grown cat......a mini panther as dad puts it, and still, baby pictures.

Granted, I don't do a whole lot to really take picture of me. Just make sure everyone has a clean face in the house. Including mom and dad. I'm the little mother around here. I check everyone's face and make sure there is nothing on their faces, noses and if I can, their ears.

I wish mom would decide whether or not to get that electric fence for Bubba and me. She is still debating on it. She would like for us to have the freedom of the outside and not leave the yard, but not the shock to keep us in it. It would be nice though.....to be able to walk and lay outside in the sun. Oh well, she'll decide by next spring she says.

That has become my montra. Oh, I'm not minding the winter, I'm an inside cat, so I really have no concept of the snow, ice or cold. Only by looking out the window do I notice that anything is different.

Guess you can say it doesn't matter much to me whether it snows or not, but I am looking forward to when mom will hook me up to my harness (stupid harness!) and let me sit outside on the deck for the sunshine to warm me up. I keep hoping mom does get that invisible fence for us this summer. Although, I don't think I'll be liking the collar I will have to wear. Mom isn't real thrilled about it, but she wants me to have some freedom in our yard and enjoy the outside more.

Anyway, back to my chant........maybe if I do it enough, spring will be here sooner. I can only hope!

WOW! Christmas is so neat!

I got up this morning and guess what!!!! Santa came last night! I have new toys and (GASP!) a can of chicken! That's two days of chicken to eat, cause I only get a half a can each time, but that's okay. It makes it extra special having it two days in a row. I wonder how did he know I loved that chicken? I didn't send him a letter or talk to him. I wonder if mom had something to do with that?

As for my toys, I've already destroy one of them. It has a jingle bells in it and there were feathers on each end. I pretended I was a black panther in the jungle and was hunting for my food. I tore into that and, you might say, the feathers flew. I then carried my kill around and was so proud of it. Of course, my brother, Duncan tried to get it from me. Mom put a stop to that.

So, now, the real excitment it over, and all I have to do today is be petted and baby talked to; and loved. Christmas love is so special, wish it was Christmas everyday!!!

OH BOY! Christmas is coming!!!!

I like Christmas.....Santa gives me a couple of toys and some special treats. Bubba doesn't know what he is missing on those treats.

I also like the pretty tree mom puts up every year, with the sparkling lights and round balls to knock off and bat around the room. And the good food we get this time of year YUM YUM!!!! Turkey is one of my favorite foods. Although I'll be getting it late this year, due to mom and her family waiting until Uncle Bob is in town. I wish he'd get here soon, I want my turkey now!!!

What an ordeal!!!!

Or at least that's what my brother dog, Duncan made it out to be. He had to get a bath today and was he upset over it. Whiney and crying and trying to get out of the tub. Me, personally, I like the tub. I take those little rings from the milk cartons and have a blast in the tub with them.

My sister dog, Chloe, now she was real good about it. Didn't make a sound or anything. She got her bath without so much of a whimper. Guess that is why the vets call Duncan, Woosie boy, he makes the nickname fit at times

Sumertime is great!

I agree with my brother, Bubba. This summer heat is great! I wonder why dogs don't seem to like it as much as cats? Apparently, they have no idea about how it makes you nice and relax so you can doze in it.

Mom just realized that she hasn't written anything new for me lately.....shame shame!!!! But when you're as good as I am and don't get into anything (what is mom snickering about), there isn't much to write about.

Bubba had his 12th birthday this month and we have some chicken breast to eat for his special day. WOW! I wish birthdays came every week! But, we (meaning all of us kids, as mom calls us) get spoiled by dad when he's packing his lunch. He gives us some of his lunch meat while he is fixing his sandwiches. We know EXACTLY when he should be packing it, too. We all run to the kitchen when he gets up from the couch. There something about the way he moves that we know that is where he is heading. Mom just rolls her eyes and tells him not to complain about 2 cats and 2 dogs around his feet, he created that sitution, so suck it up.

I got an Aunt and Uncle

Yepper, I got to meet "Aunt" Nina and "Uncle" Howdy this week. She's my mom's sister that lives in Florida. And guess what....they have a black cat too! I guess black cats are Uncle Howdy's favorite cats. Must be that mystic about us.

Chloe is telling all of us about the new pond dad made for her. She is so proud of it. Maybe someday, mom will put that stupid leash on me and take me back to see it. We have been going outside more and more, but always on the stupid leash. I keep telling mom, how am I suppose to see the world with the stupid leash on, but she doesn't listen. Oh well, without the stupid leash, I wouldn't be able to go outside, so I better not complain. WHAT'S THAT???? GOTTA GO! I hear a can of food being opened up........

Well, at least for a day I was. I was chosen for Today's pick last week (mommy just now got some extra time to add it to my diary)

And now, my sister dog, Chloe has been chosen on Dogster.com. We girls are so lucky. All I have to say is this.......
