Happy birthday from the bridge

Today is my birthday. Mom misses me very much. She was very attached to me and has my pic next to her bed. I am celebrating in heaven with the other cats at the bridge.

MM is in heaven with me. I was surprised to meet her. She is a kind, wonderful person. Theo and I were very good cat pals. She will be missed by many. She was kind and made me an angel page when I passed away.

My birthday

Today is my birthday. I would of been 6. I died too young. My family misses me very much and so does my cat family. I was such a good boy. I was a good daddy cat to my kittens. Mom talks about me daily and keeps my memory alive. I was loved.

Dilated cardiomyopathy

DCM is thinness of the heart muscle.The heart has a decreased ability to pump. Some causes include gentics. Some breeds like the siamese are more prone to this illness. It may also be cause by a deficiency of taurine. My catfood contained this ingredient. Most causes are unknown. Many cats do not show signs of illness until they are in late stage congestive heart failure. These symptoms may include: weight loss very fast, depression, inactivity, vomiting, difficulty breathing due to fluids backing up in the lungs. X-rays show an enlarged heart with fluid. An echocardiogram/ultrasound is better for a diagnosis. I had a procedure called a thoracentesis which the vet removes the fluid from the lungs to help breathing. Unfortunately, the fluids in my lungs returned 12 hours later. I needed a heart transplant. They don't do heart transplants on cats. Mom and dad had the vets do everything to save me, but it was my time. Jenelle's cat Vladimir died with a similar heart problem called HCM. His heart muscle was thick. We were both only 5, too young.

To Those Who Love & Those Who Love Me

When I am gone, release me, let me go-
I have so many things to see and do.
You must not tie yourself to me with tears,
Be happy that we had so many years.
I gave you my love, you can only guess
How much you gave me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you have shown.
But now it is time I traveled alone.

I'm a fur angel now

I was having breathing difficulties today. I was not eating, drinking, or urinating. I had a bad heart and did not show signs until it was too late. Thanks to all my Catster pals for all the love and support you gave. Mom and dad are very upset at my sudden loss. I am a new star shining in the sky. Think of me when you see the stars.

Bad news

I am in heart failure. I have a thin heart wall and can't pump my blood out. I had lots of fluid drained from my heart today. I was given some medication. It does not look good though.

heart problem

I have some fluid around my heart per an x-ray. I have to see a vet specialist and have the fluid tapped and removed. Please continue to pray for me. Thanks.
