I don't know of any good over the counter food for urinary track. I'm glad he is home too, I'll send you an invite to a group I think you'll find very handy. But so glad you're able to pee again - that's one of those major "gotta do" things! IAMS has got special formula catfoods and isn't particularly expensive, so your Mama could feed everyone else with it without worrying about when you steal a bite. :) But the forum Mr.D is going to send you the link to will probably give your Mama some other ideas about that. I went through this a couple weeks ago. Got put on this Royal Canin special food and mom has to stand guard sos I don't eat the other cats' food. She also got this cool water fountain thingie so I drink more water (but Miranda likes to play it is like her little swimmin' pool). Drink lots and lots a water. An' tell ma to keep that litter squeeky clean. Mom sneaks me a little Friskies Special Diet wet food occasionally, but it's important to stay with the special stuff (even though it's a little pricey). Hello! I'm so sorry I didn't know about you having such problems! I have had a lot of issues with UTIs, etc. My mom takes liquid cranberry capsules and puts a few drops in my food and stirs it up. I like it really. But she hasn't been doing that since she found Pro Plan adult cat food for urinary health. It's got all the stuff to keep my plumbing working right plus, it's tasty so I eat it! My mom waters down some canned food (also available in UTI formula), which I drink like soup! I take in more liquids that way. Moms are sneaky, but cool. :) Well, I hope you feel better right away. When I ended up 'plugged up' my mom knew she had to change the food for all of us so she bought Pro Plan for urinary health a couple of times, but now we all eat Purina One Special Care Urinary Health Formula. My mom has been watering down our food. It ends up looking like soup, too, but we like it that way! Mom buys canned Friskies Special Diet that 'Helps maintain urinary tract health by reducing urinary pH- Low magnesium'. And yes, I am feeling better. I'm back to my old self!
