Peppermint loved being with me

Me leaving for any length of time, he even went outside with me, and Kortney, and not being able to curl up next to me 'cause he ran in his sleep and I'd wake up with claws in my head

Arrival Story:
I was about eight years old, when Mom's best-friend called saying she had barly missed hitting two really little kittens about three weeks old her daughter was horribly allergic to cats so she asked if we wanted them, we took them in, Dad said only for awhile because otherwise she would have put them in the pound and at that time the pound would be an animal to sleep if it had been there more than 1 week. So Dad put an add in the paper seeing if anyone wanted them, one lady called but had thankfully found other kittens she had liked more, there was no way I'd had let Dad take him away.

Peppermint had a rough life from even being a really little kitten, he had came to us being reeally skinny much to young to be in the wild alone, only way he'd even drink kitten formula was in my hands. A little after a year old he had been diagnosed with cancer near his eye, we had it removed about once a year untill we had had enough and figured out this vet wasn't doing so great, we had figured out he used oooooold techniques, we thought our new vet had gotten it all and he had been sign free for 2 years, which was great because the next step would have been very harsh surgery, which would have involved him losing an eye. I tried keping him happy, which seemed to be working considering he'd always come to me. One night I had realized that my precious little boy hadn't been around all day, which wasn't like him. He normally sat at my door all night waiting for me to come out in the morning, he'd run up front with me to get some breakfest. But this day he hadn't been there. I got worried and went outside looking for him, no where insight, no where in the house. I looked all around town and all the shelters, and put up posters for 3 weeks. We assumed he had died of cancer or some other reason as he literally could not stand being away from me. August 5, 2004.
