BAD MEWS

Well the vet called mommy I went from a 5 to a 16 for my thyroid. Now I have to take LIQUID!!! NO MORE GEL!!! Mommy is afraid I will hide because I HATE things in my mouth. I will need it in the morning AND at night. Night isn't so bad because mommy has time to chase me around, but not in the morning.

She says if I will be good she will give me treats, but the last few times she tried to give me meds treats didn't even matter-I would just hide, so mommy said she is worried about me because I have lost 2 pounds already.

I don't mean to worry mommy, but I just hate meds, and I don't want to get them!!!!

Well mommy has this new place she like to talk on, so I don't get on here a lot....she is GREEDY-yes...I SAID IT!!! GREEDY with the laptop. I would get my own, but the puter place said catnip couldn't buy anything worthwhile :(

So here it goes...
My thyroid is still being a pain...my meds have been increased 3 times in the past year :(

BUT...I seem to be holding my own and am doing well. My mommy said she will start feeding me upstairs instead of downstairs because I don't like to walk the stairs so much anymore and she thinks I will eat more if she keeps the dishes upstairs. The only problem is MYSTY...she NEEDS to go downstairs to eat cuz she is still chunky!!!

Mommy posted new pictures of me and a movie...she told everyone that I had just beaten up my sister and was trying to look all sweet-she doesn't know the WHOLE truth...Mysty deserved it!!! She DID!!! REALLY!!!! SO I AM SWEET REALLY!!! I AM!!!!

My Birthday

Well, my birthday was good. Mommy brought home some extra special wet food-sardines. It was pretty good, but Mysty had to get in there and eat a whole bunch. She can be such a brat!!!!

My niece is doing really well, my two-legged sister has posted a lot of pictures of her,so if you have time go take a look. I can't wait to meet her. Mommy said maybe some weekend soon.

2010 mews

Happy New year Everykitty!!

Well 2010 was a long year for our family, but things seemed to have turned around. Our furless sister had heart surgery, I was put on meds for my thyroid, and my mommy found out she had a issue with her heart. BUT>>>>The surgery went well for my sister, my meds are working great...I hardly ever pull my fur out anymore, and my mommy is doing well as long as she keeps her potassium up.

We also got a little niece, my furless sister adopted her from the MN humane society. She is very cute-I have only seen pictures, but mommy went with my furless sister to get her. She seems very sweet and is a talker.

WOW!!! I am cat of the day!!! I am so proud!!!! It has been a wonderful week. I got a long stroller ride yesterday and mommy has been playing with me, and now this!!! It is so exciting!!!!

I am feeling much better now that I have been taking my medicine. I get a gel in my ear. Mommy said I am naughty about it because I keep trying to hide from her. She said, "Cleo it is not like a pill-you need to behave!" But I like her to chase me around the house :)

My two-legged sister just had surgery. Her heart had too many beats and they had to fix it. It was not too bad because it wasn't open heart surgery. Mommy is so glad she is okay. The doctors said she had a heart defect. Now the doctors think mommy may have one too. So she is getting it checked out.

It has been a kind of stressful year for us...some good and some bad

My two-legged brother got married and was going to go into the army, but they wouldn't take him because he had bad eyes, so he didn't have a job for months and still has no health insurance even though he has a job.

Mommy's 2 lower vertebra were partially dislocated

I got sick

My two-legged sister got engaged

My mommy got didn't feel good and need a complete physical, but the Dr. was booked for 6 months

My two-legged sister got heart issues

My two-legged sister had surgery

My mommy got worse, and had to go to the ER

Now the Dr's are finding out what is wrong with my mommy


and that is just the big stuff...hopefully life will calm down soon!!!

Guess What???? My blood levels are doing GREAT! This means the gel medication is working and I don't have to switch to pills!!! I have not lost anymore weight, but mommy is hoping I gain a little.

Good Mews

Mommy is starting to feel better because I haven't lost anymore weight. I also stopped pulling out my fur. She said it now is scratchy to pet, but at least it is growing in. I am a good girl about letting mommy clean my ears and put in the gel medication. Mysty is a stinker though because she waits around for the treats I get after mommy gives me my medication. Mommy gives her a couple, but I get more. She just explained to Mysty that I have to take medication, so I deserve more-we think she understood.

BAD MEWS

I have very bad mews. I have a hyperthyroid. I have been to the vet and am on meds, but I keep pulling out my fur. Mommy says if I keep doing it I will be bald on my back soon. Mommy is very sad and upset. She feels so bad because I have lost weight too.

The good part is mommy gives me extra food and snacks-we have to hide it from my chubby sisfur.

Well, that is my mews-mommy needs to keep searching to see if she can find a way to stop me from pulling our my fur.
