Bio:
Her Royal Highness Princess Merriweather has a unique background. She was born royalty in Mexico. Her birth parents, the king and queen of Mexico, were murdered by drug lords and so she was forced to flee and cross the United States/Mexico border. After she successfully came to the U.S., the princess found her way to Los Angeles, where an elderly lady took her in. However, the lady's other cats became jealous of having to share their home with a princess. So Merriweather was forced to look for a new home. She found herself in the care of Cats Crossing, a rescue group that took her to Petco every weekend in hopes of finding her some new parents. On one fateful day in August, she spotted the couple that would later become her adoptive mom and dad. She cast a spell on them, ensuring they would take her home with them. Now she is basking in a life as royalty again, ruling the household and enjoying a high-maintenance lifestyle. Because she does not acknowledge her adoptive parents as being royalty, she demands to be curtsied whenever a person wishes to approach her. Failure to do so could result in punishment such as exessive biting and scratching.

ANOTHER earthquake!

Oooh, this one was freaky. And I was home all by myself and didn't know what was going on. The newscaster said it was 5.4 on the richter scale and that it was based in Chino Hills, which is only about 10 or 15 miles from my house. It was scary! I told my meowmy I want to move back to Michigan.

My meowmy finally bought her book about disaster survival, so she is going to formulate a plan to follow in case something bad happens and our whole furramily is in different places. We have to plan how we'd get back together. I told my meowmy the most important part of the plan is how I'm going to get dinner if nobody can get home to feed me. (My idea is to just have my food dish full all the time.)

I hope we don't have any more earthquakes. California is evil! I want to get out of here!

Earthquake!

Yuk! Southern California is scary!

Today we had a big earthquake near my house. OK, not that big, but when you are close to the ground and you're little and helpless, any earthquake feels like a big one.

Meowmy and I were sleeping soundly when Meowmy sat up suddenly. She has this thing where she always thinks she feels earthquakes, even though it's usually just my dad rolling over. But then 10 seconds later, BOOM! The whole house shook. Thankfully it was very short, only about three seconds long. But still! It was scary!

I don't know what I would do if I were home alone and the Big One hit. Meowmy is going to read this book called "The Unthinkable: Who Survives a Disaster -- and Why." She wants to come up with an emergency escape plan for our family in case a major cat-astrophe should hit our area.

This whole idea of a cat-astrophe makes me so nervous! But I'm sure a few Greenies would calm me down quite nicely.

Almost!

Last weekend I had a very interesting adventure. Naturally, all my adventures are quite interesting, but this one has more of a twist than most.

My meowmy decided to stuff me in a cage and put me in the car again, and I DID NOT want to go. I was very upset and, as usual, whined and cried -- and even peed. But Meowmy didn't care, and she started up the car and we were off. To where? I didn't know, but I didn't want to find out. So I decided the only appropriate thing to do was the break out of my cage.

My meowmy got me this pretty carrier for Christmas and it's very lovely and all, but she didn't anticipate that it would be designed with a major flaw, that is, a small hole that is just big enough for me to stick my paw out and pull down the zippers, thus opening the cage. So I did just that, and I broke free! My meowmy was quite startled, seeing as how she was driving down the freeway at 70 miles per hour and all. Just when I thought I was out, my meowmy grabbed me by the scruff and held me there. I could tell she was MAD. Then she drove the car off the freeway and parked somewhere and I could tell I was in trouble.

So Meowmy stuffed me back in the cage and studied how to keep me in there. I'm not sure exactly what she came up with, but I saw her cutting the string out of her gym pants and then tying it through the zippers on my cage. I'm not sure what that did, but when I tried to break out again it didn't work! So I was stuck.

When we finally got to our destination, Meowmy took the carrier inside a place, and right away it had a familiar -- yet not familiar -- smell. Meowmy let me out of the carrier and I made a quick inspection of the place. It appears to be a house, and it has all my stuff in it, like my couch and my bed and my chair, etc., yet I don't recognize the place. Meowmy and I have been staying there for several days now, so I can only conclude that we will be living in this new place for some time.

I'm tired of all this moving around. I miss my friends in Michigan, especially my Auntie Maiya. I just want a nice house to call my own, where I can scratch the carpet and pee wherever I want without Meowmy yelling at me about the landlord is going to keep all her deposit money. And now there are some dumb dogs in the next yard and they sound like Kujo, all crazy and psycho! I just want to go back to my condo in Michigan!
