Thank you

Mom spent most of the day thinking of me. All the crazy things I would do and how sweet and gentle of a kitty I was. It was a day of smiles and not tears. I am very happy for that.

Thank you to all of my dear friends for their sweet and kind words. It means so much to us.

Mom will thank each of you individually when she has a few minutes

She is going away with friends for a few days and will be leaving first thing in the morning.

I am glad she is finding some time for herself. She definitly needs some girl time !!

Mom has been sleeping pretty well lately. She generally has Pinkie waking her up during the night. But she has been leaving her alone and Mom has enjoyed the restful sleep.

Today, I had to wake her up about 3 am so that she had
the alone time to think of what today is.

She knew today was not your ordinary day. Then it hit her. It is the day I took my journey to the Rainbow Bridge. I spend my days doing all that I loved to do when I was an earth kitty. My tube is pink and has purrty rhinestones on the outside. I love to fly around and take long naps on soft fluffy clouds. Well, I have been invited by dude K to go to boe boe's fish N fry N for a tunie samich. Sounds like fun!

This was the first time in months that I woke up and could not fall back to sleep. Even Pinkie just stayed laying beside me and didn't think it was time to get up and get some food.

Although this is the day Wriggley left us, her presence is still very strong in our home. Her tube now holds all the cat toys. No one really took to the tube as she did. I am so glad that I took a video of her playing with her tube. There are times that you think are just one of many to come. So, you say next time I will do it. I am glad that I didn't wait.

I think of Wriggley often and both her Dad and I miss her so much. As I have noted in past diary entries, she was very intelligent. She loved puzzles and tests. She would figure out all of them. You could see her "thinking".

She figured out how to climb through the rafters to get at Nonny and Stripey when we first let them in the house and had them in the basement. We would find her each morning on the side with the closed door and wonder how she got over there. Once we blocked it off, she found a different way to get through the ceiling which brought her into another room downstairs.

Wriggley was just very special in so many ways.

My kitty angel arrived today. I was the first angel made by Calvin’s
Mawmee Laurie.

I was even honored at The Cat in the Clover Blog
It is beautiful and the colors are perfectly matched to my fur colors. My Mom loves it !!

Welcome to the Bridge Mercy

Today, I welcomed my friend Mercedes to the Bridge.

She was my families first friend on Catster as I know she was the same for many others. As the eloquent Hazel Lucy has said, she is the First Lady of Catster.

I know many angel kitties will welcome her too. But she has been a special friend and when I was sick, her Mom Janet, was so supportive to my Mom during my illness. Like me, you left us way to young.

We will never forgot your wonderful antics and beautiful outfits you would wear. We will miss you dearly sweet girl.

Our condolences to all of your family.

No doubt about it girlfriend, You are one of a kind !!

My Bridge Anniversary

Today is my one year Bridge anniversary. I can’t believe a year has passed.
I know that Mommy and Daddy don't feel quite the same. They are happy that I
am no longer in pain and that the nasty "C" word doesn't make me feel bad anymore.
I hear them talk about me all the time. I visit from time to time. Daddy will tell Mommy that he thinks he sees me. But then realizes it is someone else under the chair or on the side of the sofa. It is me. I told them I would visit when I could get away from hanging out with my angel friends and being a good angel kitty. I didn't break my promise.

I am glad that Fluffy has found a friend in Xena. I know he appreciates having her around. She likes to play and no one else really enjoys a good game of chase.

Too many of our Catster friends have joined me at the Bridge this year. This makes me very sad for their families. I enjoy seeing everyone, again. But I know how much their families miss them and how much they are hurting.

I am going to sprinkle some angel dust on all the kitties that are not feeling well right now. I hope it helps make you feel a little better.

My first birthday at the Bridge

Today would have been my 9th birthday. One of those gotcha days. But Mom and Dad know that I will live forever here with no pain or illness.

I am having a wondeful day at the Bridge. Thank you to my special Catster friends who have sent me birthday wishes. It means a lot to me (Mom and Dad, too) that I am still being remembered.

Mom and Dad are going to give a donation to the RISPCA to sponsor a cage for one year. This is a great way to honor my memory. I am so happy they are doing this.
