My friend and new family member, KoKo allowed Mom to pet her last night for about a minute. And…she started to purr and knead. This was the first interaction that she seemed to be comforted by. It was like she remembered, if only for a moment, the touch of a human and that it feels good. She started to back off a little so Mom let her be for a while.

She tried it a bit later and she let her pet again for about 30 seconds. She stretched out and started to knead again.

She had only allowed quick touches until now and then would run away.

This is a huge step since KoKo joined us in December.
