I went to the vet for a blood test and they say I have a thryoid problem and thats why I was losing weight. So after some figuring and rtial and error I am on a half tab every morning. I am very good about takign ym meds as they are put in a pill pocket attached to a greenie and I get extra greenies as well.
I'm starting to put my weight back on but I'm not as big as I used to be anymore. I am however flatly refusing to allow momma to administer Sub-Q fluids as I HATE it!!!!!!
Oh no it gets even worse folks, after getting retested they also found that I'm anemic. I have to take a Kitty Tinic twice a day. The vet says they don't know what causing the anmeia but it could be my kidney problems. I think these meds a really yucky and always drink lots of water after I have to take them!

Mum and Dad have been very worried about me. Last year I lost my eyesight in my right eye completely and now my left eye is developing cataracts. There are many times I cant see well enough to get around the house without bumping into everything and missing doorways. Mum is very sad to see me this way but I keep telling her not to worry, she just thinks I want tuna though - I'm not complaining about that!
Mum took me to my specialist vet, a very nice man but it's a LONG drive - took up over 2 hours to get there! He told mum that they can do an operation on my eye - but it has only an 80% chance of success - to restore my vision in the left eye, but mum and dad don't know how they can possibly afford it! It costs nearly $3000!!!!
I'm rooting for a rich benefactor myself...

Well after a long arduous journey with my dad to the vets guess what... cataracts are not the problem! I have some kind of eye infection in my eyes that may have been the cause of why my right eyes lens detached - I'm permanently blind in that eye now. I am on drops to I dont have to have the eye sugecly removed unless something gets worse. I have to go back to the vet tomorrow for another blook test just had one done MOnday. They need to test me for a score of things to find out whats causing this infection, FeLV, FIV, Bartonella and other things - cant really read vets handwriting past this point. Mum is so worried shew cant understand how I could have contracted an infection since I dont have contcat with other cats and my sis and bro are fine. At least no surgery! Thanks to all those kitties who were purring for me, the magic of purrs works - no surgey for me!
Lots of Love and Head butts,
Jabba
