checkups are an indignation

Just when I was settling into the day, I was rudely scooped up and locked in the horrid carrier and taken to that vetlady! I hate that! I complained the whole way! There was a big dog in the waiting room and I hated that too! Why can't I have an all-cat vet? She says the all-cat vet is too far away. I hate that! Then I got examined and got my nails clipped and needles stuck in me! I hate that! I have lost 5 oz. They think I am just finicky, but they are doing blood work to check.

I'm just getting over the shock!

Mom brought another cat into our home! She's supposed to be my sister, but she's really an obnoxious brat, and I waited until Ma went out and then told Bridey to quit bothering me or she'd be sorry. So now she mostly leaves me alone, but sometimes I play chase with her, but just for the exercise. Also, I suppose she is someone to talk to when Ma is out.
Just so long as everyone remembers who's in charge here!

Reunited

I would have written before but I was sooo busy settling in to my apartment. I am soooo much more confident now than when I arrived. Then the last few weeks were very hard, because mama went away for days and days. A man came and fed me, and petted me, but it's not the same. Then FINALLY last weekend, mama came home again -- I cried and cried and cried -- it was very emotional, darling! Now I have weeks of missed cuddling to compensate for, and I don't even want to play with my toys because I want to keep mama in sight, in case she tries to sneak out again. I try to sit on her so she won't go anywhere. She tried to give me some new kind of treat -- freezedried chicken -- but I refuse to eat anything so spongy. Why won't she just give me more canned food? I gobble down my two half-cans per day, and then I move the plate aside to make sure I didn't miss any crumbs that fell off the plate. But then all that's left is dry food. Yuck.
