Arrival Story: I was looking for a successor for my first kitty, who died at age 23.5. I was looking at humane society kitties, but missed out on a few I liked. Then I went to a humane society foster home and saw Arnold. He was the first of his litter to leave his bio-Mom. EXACTLY the same way I found my first kitty 24 years earlier.
Bio: Arnold has lived in Florida and Georgia. He moves really well, as long as he has his Mommy! He goes to Church to be blessed with Holy Water every year on the feast of St. Francis of Assisi. He sits on my shoulder while they sprinkle him, and doesn't cry or try to get down! He loves going in his boat, but NOT in the water. And he is very proud of having been named in honor of a famous golfer (Arnold Palmer). He stands on the FLOOR, not the seat, in order to get a drink from the toilet. He's a BIG boy. He was a DAILY DIARY PICK, 8-2-2007, 4-9-2008, 7-23-2008, 7-28-2008, 9-21-2008, 10-13-2008, 11-5-2008, and 1-15-2009!!! AND he was DIARY OF THE DAY, (with his picture on the front page!) on 9-9-08!

MY DUDE PALS: Vincent was and is my first dude pal. I introduced him to his girl, Tigress. Moose is the funniest and sweetest guy I know. Simon just crossed to the Bridge, but will always be my bud no matter what. Rascal is always looking out for me, and is a great pal. Tooney has left for the Bridge, but he is a thoughtful and great friend. Handsome, too!
My Gal Pals: Scooter is a sweetheart and a special friend. Her leaving for the Bridge broke my heart. Sissy is a kind and precious Furt friend who loves her window sill. Elmo went to the Bridge at 23 years old. She was beautiful and thoughtful and kind. Elsa is a baroness of beauty and a princess of pulchritude. Annie is a dear Olde Furt who has health issues and my heart. And I love her brothers, too!
MY SPECIAL PAL: Calvin is my special pal and a constant source of laughter.
Today it was raining a LOT. There was no thunder, though. Mom picked me up and carried me out onto the porch and sat in the chair.
I have never been outside in the rain before. I was very interested in this process. I stared at the water gushing from the downspout of the gutter system. I watched it pooling in the grass. I watched the birds playing in it!
I felt very safe, because the rain was not coming on the porch where we sit. It was coming from the other direction.
But then the wind changed and I got a little mist in my face. Then I was done, and Mom immediately put me back in the house. She said I was a good boy!
Since Mom has been on staycation, we've been going out and sitting on the porch together every day. It's sunny in the morning, but by 1 P.M., it's in the shade and we can sit and watch the flowers grow. (Yeah, we have an exciting life!)
Mom sits on the chair and I sit on her lap. But I don't sit like a cat, I sit like a baby. I sit on my butt, and Mom locks her fingers around my lower half. I face to her right, resting my feet on her right arm. Then I rest my hands on my feet.
Mom thinks I am as cute as a bug when I sit like that. (How cute IS a bug?) It's comfy, and all my legs are supported, so I like it. We sit about 15 minutes, then it's back in for me, 'cause it's too hot out there!
