After getting my bloodwork results back on Saturday, the vet lady and Mawmee decided I should have another Convenia shot since my white blood cell count is still elevated.
I am so glad you got the special food and that you like it, I liked it tooo and I ate it for almost a whole year. My kid knees did fail in the end cause of my age and stuff but the food really helped me and I felt so much better. Purring and purring for you my friend. Glad you ate some and like it too! We'll keep purring for you that things move in the right direction! It must be a bit confusing dealing with all those vet ladies and their opinions! Hugs and purrs, Simon & Reuben(an angel) I think that is a good idea too that you eat kidney food. That will maybe help bring your phosphorus numbers down and also make you feel better plus help your kidneys not work so hard. There are a couple of brands you can try but great you liked the first one you ate. Eric and Paul's cat Casper is on renal food now too and he loves it but Casper loves all food! Seems like there is a little positive to each Vet lady and a little negative. It is funny how they all think differently. Bestest I think you need a whole team of vet ladies! Purring that your blood will get better and you keep liking this food. There are/have been a variety of vet dudes and gals where we go, some of them meowmy likes better than others, some are more ready to hear her side to what she wants done others seem pushy with their own opinions...and by the way, wow, there are a lot of doctors for humans with those different styles, too...meowmy knows a lot of them only too well, MOL! I hope you keep enjoying those new noms...and I hope that your Mawmee may learn to grow money...MOL! Meowmy agrees about waiting a bit for those labs. Purring for you, Violet! I like the lady doc at our place best, although in the past we have had some of the other doctors. Mom likes them each to see me so that they are at least familiar with my condition, should I come in as an emergency. You are in our purrs! if the food will help & you like it all the better. I have to eat mostly renal food too. It sure is something and can be really confusing when you get all these different advices. oh and if your momma learns how to grow one of them money trees, our momma says let us know cuz we need lessons on how to grow one too..... Mommy got the 'bad kitty mom' lecture from one for giving me some raw chop meat I enjoy. Mom figured that it couldn't hurt me, because I had eaten it all my life as a treat. She got told that it was very bad for me and they sold her some of the kidney food I wouldn't eat, then the other vet said it's more important that I eat. I do eat, but am still a very skinny minny. Mom has to make another vet appointment for me. I eat, I lay in the sun, but I have the worlds stinkiest poopy! This morning my feetsies got put in the sink to get washed again! I didn't like it but could do nothing about it!I protested, to no avail, but my feet were clean afterward and I was happy with that. We hope that you feel so much better, Violet! OH yeah Riley we all need the money tree!!!!do the vets think our Moms are made of money......my Mom says she works to pay our vet bills...thank goodness she has insurance for me and they pay for a lot of stuff.... We are purring for you Violet, I know how hard it is for the fluids and getting the right food...Mom tried me on the same food it is OK, but I smell Zeke's and Tu Two's food then I won't eat my special food, so Mom says it is better for me to eat than not... Purring that this shot helps you. Every vet lady/man has a different opinion on everything it seems. We are now listening to what they have to say and Mom and Dad are making the best desision based on what they feel is right. That is all your pawrents can do. So glad you like your kidney food. Eat up !! Well, I tried that kidney food and did not like it. My other vet said that it was important that I just eat....My mom did add water to my food to keep me hydrated. I never needed fluids since my numbers never went high enough. It was liver cancer from my iris melanoma that got me. My mom was getting so much information about giving fluids and it never happened. Eating is just so important as we get older.... Your Mawmee is a smart cookie! Bloodwork in two weeks should be just fine. I say that's another knock against the vet lady you don't like. We're glad you like your kidney food! I never did like it much. :( I am purrin and purrin for you Violet! We're glad to hear you're getting some food you like!
