Dang, don't any of you get any ideas that being an angel is all rest, play, and no work. The head dude up here has us running ragged, but it's a good thing we are healthy forever so we can keep up the pace!
In addition to my Welcome Committee duties which has been giving me some overtime pay - yeah, we get paid up here - bet you didn't know that - I've got some other duties too.
We are all on call for Angel Dust Sprinkling. We sprinkle for different reasons - when there is a new kitty in a family, when somecat is sick, when a cat joins Catster - there are a lot of reasons you get sprinkled from the angels.
Whenever a cat is having surgery, there is a big turnout for sprinkling. Here is another secret from me, but remember, act like you don't know this when you eventually get up here.
In our welcome packet is a rainbow pawwatch. We have to wear it at all times. Whenever the pawwatch starts playing, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, we know it is time to sprinkle angel dust. The Angel Dust Committee fills us in on the 411 (that's angel talk for the WWWW's). In case you don't know what that means, it is the who, what, where, and why of angel dust sprinkling.
We've already been given a heads up that tomorrow will be surgery angel dust sprinkling for Joey. He is having a big, fat, nasty tumor removed from his neck.
So, while all the angels are sprinkling him with angel dust, the rest of you need to get your purr motor revved up and send him some purrs. The tumor is a mystery tumor, so be sure to purr that it isn't cancer.
I gotta go - there is a brusselball game this afternoon, and I don't want to miss it!
Knead On . . . . . . . . .
Calvin I was wondering if you could go and give a sprinkling of angel dust to my mate Dog. He had surgery on his back last week which went really well but he's still in hospital because of his FIV.
Wow, talk about busy! Things must be hopping up there!
I'm sure with all that angel dust, Joey will do great in surgery!
We're revving up our motors for Joey, and boy can we purr LOUD!
You sure hav yur wurk cut outts furr yew up theyah.
Kally Kat has hur Purr motor set at high speed I can feel it & hear it!
Sumtin furry magikal bout dat Angel dust it's pure Gold & furry healing.
We will purray furr Joey tew bee feelin betta in no time atta all.
Lubbs & wonderous hugs,
Kally Kat & Momkatt Liz ♥♥
Yep, it's really jumping around here, which is the understatement of the century! Now I realize that's why cats sleep so much while they are on Earth, because they are going to be incredibly busy after they leave! Especially if they're like Calvin and me. I'll make sure Mommy and Sandy purr for Joey. *gets angel dust packets ready*
Oh, thank you so much, Dear Angel Calvin! I have eaten lots of half and half and turkey before Mom takes up my food. I am off to bed to get up really early tomorrow. Thanks to all of you,
Your Pal, Joey
You are a mighty busy angel Calvin. :~) We're keeping our purr motors running fur Joey.
You sure are one important and busy angel just like my friend, Angel Buddie. It's nice knowing we have you watching over us if we ger sick.
I'll be purring for Joey. Sure hope he is OK. I'm tired of this stinky cancer thing.
Dog has gone to the bridge, so please make him welcome. He is so young - his family must be in a state of shock.
Thanks for mentioning Alex in the blog - the Old Furt scrubs up pretty good, MOL. He does look very cute in his Calvin Collar.
Whew! We sure hope you get a rest fur the holidaze up there, angel dude!
I was sorry to see Dog come through the gates. Sending purrs and sprinkling angel dust on his family.
I hope Joeys surgery goes well purrs Mr D your doing a pawsome job. I thought you could rest now, it seems it's a fat chance, you are such a busy kitty. I hope you still take time out for yourself and keep an eye out on your family too. You guys are a fantastic family, many purrs to you all.
