Hi pals! I want to thank all of you for remembering my Rainbow Bridge Day. It's hard to believe it has been four years since I made my journey. As you all know, I've been keeping very busy as an angel.
I was sad to see my sister, Samoa, make her journey, but just as I suspected, she is already setting up a boa shop and sending feathers down to people.
I know you all have heard about the recent journey of our friend, Kaci Sunshine.
I also wanted to let you know that our pal, Smudge, has made her journey. She is no longer on Catster, but I know you remember her brother, Bob. Smudge and Bob were very active back when we all first joined Catster. Her Mommy is very sad, but we're taking good care of Smudge. If you are on Facebook, be sure to stop by and send some love her way (Joanne Lee).
Another pal that just journeyed to the bridge is Simba. Simba's family used to be really active back in the day too, so I know they would appreciate your stopping by and showing some love.
Keep on purring for all those kitties who are sick and need purrs, and we'll keep on doing our job up here at the bridge!

Thank you, pals, for celebrating another birthday with me. I sure appreciate all the pretty presents on my page, and the special pictures made by Rory, and Pipo and Minko!
My 10th life at the bridge has been filled with lots of fun. Sure, it is sad at times when pals have to leave their families and journey to the bridge. But, we're always happy to welcome them and get them started on their 10th life.
And as you all know, birthdays at the bridge can only mean one thing - bowling night! And since today is my birthday, I'm going to share with you another little bridge secret about our bowling nights.
Tonight is glow bowling night. When you have a birthday, you can request regular bowling or glow bowling. Regular bowling is when we make a lot of noise. Our families on earth hear it and it sounds like thunder, but it is just us bowling!
Now, glow bowling is entirely different. Act like you don't know about it when you get up here, but glow bowling is very quiet. The balls and pins are padded, but the pins have magical lights inside them.
When the padded ball hits one of the magical pins, they light up! Down on earth, it looks like lightening - the kind you see in the distance. Up here in the bowling alley, the lights are colorful and sparkly!
Mawmee and Daddy are seeing some of that lightening in the distance tonight. They know it is my big bowling night. And they still miss me. I think they will always miss me.
Gotta go - it's my turn to bowl . . . . .

I was very sad when I got the news earlier today to get ready for a special arrival at the bridge. Everycat's pal, Skeezix, made his journey tonight.
Wowza, whose life hasn't been changed by Skeezix? Back in the old days of Catster, we had so many fun parties and contests with Skeez. He is a legend in the blogosphere. Cats all over the world know about things like vishus deer, kyoot clothes, and urjes because of Skeez!
His Food Lady and Mr. Tasty Face are going to be very sad that he is no longer on earth. But, I know it won't be long before they will feel his angel dust and the flutter of his wings. And what wings they will be! I know a very special pink pair will be waiting at the tailor shop for him.
If you have time, please stop over at Skeezyville and leave a comment.
All your angel pals welcome you to the bridge, Skeezix. We're gonna take very good care of you until the day you see your family once again. Love is forever . . . . .

We got notice yesterday that our pal, Charlie, would be journeying to the bridge today.
So, everyone got busy sprucing up the place to get ready for his arrival. Of course, you all know about the big Welcome sign that we hold up to greet our newest angels.
The Garden Committee plants flowers at the gate, and boy does it look beautiful! Every flower you can think of is in bloom, and there are so many colors! While we wait for Charlie's arrival, we'll get to swat at the bees and butterflies that like to hang out around the flowers!
I'll have to warn Charlie when he gets here that tomorrow is National Hug Your Cat Day. If your owner is also up here at the bridge, they get to spend the day hugging you. If your owner is still down on earth, the girlcats go around all day hugging us boycats. Dang, it is one long day! Charlie is just going to be getting out of orientation and will be getting a gazillion hugs tomorrow!
Don't be afraid, Charlie. It will be a peaceful journey, and when you arrive, you'll be taken good care of by all your angel pals. Comforting purrs to your Momma and sister, Jezebel, during this sad time.

Today all the angels took turns sprinkling angel dust on our pal, Skeezix, as he underwent surgery. The vet found a big tumor inside his belly, and they did surgery today to check it out.
Unfortunately, the news is very sad. He has lots of bad cancer throughout his body. We are all upset and very sad for his Food Lady, Mr. Tastyface, and his siblings.
Please keep Skeezix in your purrs. We hope he has a long time left with his family, but whenever it is his time to journey, we will be waiting to greet him with open paws.
We love you, Skeezix . . . . .

I was talking to my pal, Boxie Brown today. We were just sitting on a cloud together talking about the new angels that have arrived at the bridge. We started chatting about the Hazel Lucy List for Kitties in Need of Purrs.
You all remember that list, don't you? It was started a gazillion years ago by Hazel Lucy. Then when she needed a break from the list, Boxie took over. That was three years ago!
And guess what? Now it is time for Boxie to take a break from the list. It is a lot of work to keep this important list going, but it is very important work. We all know how important it is to purr for our pals when they are sick.
Boxie said he needs a VIV - very important volunteer - to take good care of this list. It is an honor to maintain the list - sure, it takes some work, but we can't spend all day catnapping when there is important work to do!
So, stop by Boxie's latest diary entry to find out more information, and to volunteer to keep this important list going!
Thank you to Hazel Lucy for starting up this list, and for Boxie's dedication for the past three years!

Hey pals! It's time for me to tell you another bridge secret. Remember, these are top secret secrets!
Somecat started a tradition a long time ago that April 1st would be designated as Rainbow Bridge Day. You can read what Cisco Kid says about this special day here in the forum.
Basically, it's a day for your family to remember all their pets that have journeyed to the bridge. The idea is for them to write a special letter or poem to them and send it up inside a helium balloon.
So, now, here is the secret I promised to tell you. April 1st might be Rainbow Bridge Day for those on earth, but up here we call it Balloon Day!
Balloon Day starts out early where we all gather together to collect the gazillion balloons that are floating up to the bridge. The girls like to separate them by color. They count all the balloons and whatever color wins becomes the color for the month of April. We do all kinds of special stuff using the winning color in April. I'll have to share more of those secrets with you later in the month.
Then the fun part happens - we get to use our claws and pop all the balloons! Wowza, you talk about fireworks! It is so noisy up here it probably sounds like thunder down on earth. We all laugh together and then gather all the notes and poems.
Then during dinner tonight, the Balloon Committee will read all the notes and poems. It's pretty sappy and some of the girls cry, but it turns out to be a pawsome celebration of our time on earth.
So, Happy April 1st . . . . . Rainbow Bridge Day . . . . . Balloon Day . . . . . April Fool's Day . . . . .

I wanted all my Catster pals on earth to know that Sauce, one of Da Tabbies O Trout Towne, made his journey to the bridge tonight.
Dude Kitty and I were at the front of the gate waiting for him. His Mom is very sad tonight, but we're all going to take very good care of Sauce. He has already received his heart basket which took two cats to carry! Tomorrow he will start orientation, and in no time, I know he will be getting his wings and watching over the rest of the family.
Sending purrs to his Mom tonight, as I know all of you will too. Since his Mom is not on Facebook, if any of you want to send her a card, let me know, and I'll give you her address.
Rest in peace, Sauce . . . . .

Well, another year is ending. We had way too many pals journey to the bridge this year. I know how sad it is for all those left behind, but we're doing good angel work up here. Of course, when you first arrive, there is orientation, but you probably didn't know (and don't tell I'm giving away more secrets) that we have to take other classes up here too.
I just finished my initial Sending Music 101 class, and boy did I do a pawsome job with my first homework assignment!
Mawmee has a shelf in the cat room that sits up high. She keeps cat figurines on it, and she also has a couple of ceramic thingies that play music. One of them is a cat see saw with cats playing on it. When the music box plays, the see saw moves back and forth. She found it at a consignment store, and the music box doesn't play like it should, but she thinks it is very cute anyway.
So, yesterday she was in the cat room cutting out some fabric, and all of a sudden the music box started playing. She looked over and the see saw was moving too. Then it stopped.
She hasn't touched anything on that shelf in awhile (I'll be there are some good dust bunnies up there!). The cats in the house can't reach that shelf. There is no heat vent that blows on the stuff on the shelf.
Hmmmm . . . . . . . . Sending Music 101 . . . . . . . .

Wowza, this is only my second diary pick the entire year, so I'm glad the Diary Gal had fun looking at the list of Christmas songs we sang at our holiday show! Thanks for picking me today and for all the pals who have been so nice and sent me pmails and rosettes.
Guess what I found out today? There is a new Calvin in town! Calvin Mc.Catster - what a honor to have another cute cat named after me. I promise to be a good guardian angel to Calvin.
You can read his story over at Ruffy's diary. Calvin is a foster kitty over at Ruffy's house. They are going to take good care of him until the purrfect home comes along.
Here is what Calvin's foster Mommy wrote on his page:
I've never had a kitten that would lay on a pillow and purr into my ear, or lick my face. We love Calvin. Calvin was given his full name in honor of the Legendary Calvin here on Catster.
I've got to go spruce up my wings so I can get over to visit Calvin this week and send him down some holiday angel dust!
Be sure to stop by his page and become pals with him. I have a feeling he is going to be a great cat!
