Like Blade, I'm 'tagxausted'!

Yikes! I have been TAGGED!

May 25th 2007 5:32 am   [link to this entry]

I have been enlisted into the 'tag' game by Sunrise, Fortitude, Miranda and Maxwell!. Theses are the rules:

Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Cats who are tagged need to write on their own diary about the seven things and the rules. You need to choose seven cats to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment that they have been tagged and to read your diary.

My seven random facts are:
1) In summer I have a pronounced auburn streak down the centre of my back.
2) I love to be groomed
3) I tripped my mum and she broke her ankle in October 2006.
4) I am one of 6 only 6 Catsters called 'Tigga' yet there are 616 'Tiggers'.
5) I used to live across the street from where I live now but my first mum Winnie was very old and went to heaven. I now live with my second mum Joyce in the house opposite.
6) I used to have a a Cairn terrier sister called Tansy at my first home but she went to live with my human uncle.
7) I like all kinds of seafood, even cockles and mussels!

The 7 Catsters I will tag are:

Simba
Fluffy
Chloe
Tiger
Sandy
Suki
Tom

Santa's Boot

Well, it was back to the hospital for the umpteenth time today for my mum.
When I tripped her over, back at the end of October, they plastered her broken ankle and sent her home but 3 weeks after that she was back in hospital having Open Reduction Internal Fixation surgery. In cat terms that meant she had two screws put in to hold together the bits that weren't mending.

Now today, 5weeks and 5days after the initial injury she went back to hospital to see how the ankle was doing. They removed the cast to check on her wound from the surgery and it looked good. They x-rayed it and that looked good too. The bad new was that she still has to have a cast on for another 5 1/2 weeks and STILL cannot put weight on it! I think she'd been expecting that the doctor was going to let her walk home or something...oh no.

The good news is that they put a nice festive red cast on this time. Blades mum is going to put a bit of white faux fur around the top to make it look even more like Santa's boot. I don't think my mum really liked that idea but never mind.
At least mum has me to snuggle her during these cold winter nights and she assures me that she doesn't hold me responsible for her accident.

I'll do everything I can to try to resist the urge to dash in front of her again...

I committed G.B.H....on my mum!

Oh no....oh no.....I've been baaaad....very baaaaadd. I've committed the worst act a cat can ever do - Grevious Bodily Harm on my human servant (a.k.a my mum).
I am even worse than Naomi Campbell because she doesn't actually break bones the bones of her staff but I did...*shakes head in shame*
On Friday evening my mum was just going to fetch my food bowl from outside (I always like to have a few nibbles available al fresco) I thought she'd got food and I got all excited and tried to overtake her on the doorstep. Her legs got all ravelled on my back and she was trying not to tread on me and I was trying to run and...it all went horribly wrong. She bit the dust.
Her head went *bump* on the wall and her ankle made a bad crunchy sound.
She tried to stand but it was just like when somebody is chopping a ladder down while someone is climbing it on a cartoon. Her leg just kind of dropped down a level onto her foot.
She had to crawl to the phone and ring an ambulance. I tried to help but there was nothing I could do....I even tried to get in the ambulance to go with her, but they told me I wasn't wanted *sniff*.
Now she is in the hospital and got three broken bones in her ankle. She might even have to have an operation.
I've heard that she's not blaming me but I take full responsibility.....I am almost a murderer.
My punishment is that I have to be looked after by Aunty Fiona and it is like being in 'Cat Borstall'. She doesn't do those special things like dangle slices of wafer thin ham in front of me to munch on and she put my proper dinner outside and the neighbours cat ate it....this is hard time I am doing.
Hopefully, mum won't have to have an operation and will be back with me on Monday.

Dave....Rest in Peace.

It was a very sad day on Wednesday 10th May.
One of my friends, Dave was killed by a car on my street. My humans weren't acquainted with Dave, but of course I was - I know all the cats on my street.
It was my Aunty and Uncle (Blades mum and dad) who found Dave when they came to see us on Wednesday afternoon.
They thought Dave was just lying in the sun, at the side of the road but as they got closer they realised the awful truth. Dave had been hit by a car, it must have been about an hour before they found him.
My Aunty and Uncle were very upset. Poor Dave was a beautiful cat and he looked a bit like their cat, Blade. They found out later that Dave was only two years old.
People should be more careful when driving down narrow streets with parked cars. My street is a very quiet residential street and mostly the ownly cars driving down it are people who actually live on the street.
So drivers, s l o w d o w n when driving past parked cars, you could end the life of a much loved member of someones family - animal or human...
