First of all, let me fill everycat in on what happened today. Mommy took Joss and I to the vet today; she for her three year shots and me for bloodwork to see how my thyroid meds are helping me. Everything went fine. The vet also told Mommy that I didn't act out when my blood was drawn. Joss was a bit scared as she hasn't been to the vet since last October when she got her initial shots.
Anyway, after all was done, Mommy brought us home. When I was let out of my carrier, Landy was so glad to see me that he chased me nipping at my butt. I yelped and ran as fast as my old cat legs could carry me. Mommy then picked me up and carried me up five steps and let me climb the rest. When I got to the hallway, another episode overtook me. Mommy told me when I came to that I had fallen to the floor, yowled and lost control of my bladder. She said she stroked me and told me over and over to stay with her. She picked me up and carried me to her bed wherein she continued to cuddle and comfort me. I came around laying in her arms. I gradually returned to normal and was eating, purring and drinking normally. Mommy said the seizure didn't last long, but afterwards I was a bit dazed and wobbly on my feet.
Mommy called the vet but didn't get a return call until this afternoon. She believes I did have a seizure but can't tell if it was brain or heart related without an MRI taken of my brain. Mommy told the vet that I see my cardiologist Monday and maybe he'll have some idea if it was my heart making me seize and walk wobbly.
Anyway, I could use some Power of the Purr. It would be greatly appreciated.
Purrs & Breeps,

Purring for you Sampson! I had a seizure yesterday -- my first one -- and it terrified me and mommy! Hope you're feeling better today and your vet finds out what's causing your seizures.
Sending lots of purrs to you, Sampy!
We are sending Prayers out to You Sampson.
Sampson, we're purring for you! That sounded very scary. Mom's friend is a vet tech who said this about cats and seizures:
'sometimes, with older cats-cats that are what we refer to as 'golden oldies' they can be prone to seizure activity that could be based in: heart related issues, diet related issues-for instance, if a diet is low in something, some older cats are more prone to seizing for lack of the vitamin-or mini strokes. A vet should be able to tell, but sometimes these things remain mysteries.'
I have a 'heart thing' now, and will go back for a follow up check up soon, as mommy is concerned about how I breathe and wheeze. Right now I am on heart meds and take them once a day. We are all purring for you, you are such a fine looking cat, and we're glad you have loving brofurs-who like mine don't always realize we need a breath now and again.
lots of love and we're thinking of you-
We're purring for you, Sampy!
Thank you, my pawsome friends for your kind concerns. I'm doing much better today and even ate good, had some nip and a little play session with one of my toys.
