I. DIAGNOSIS:

Dr. McMichael says I have arthritis: my feet, hips and back
are tender to palpation;

I have a slight heart murmur (soft and no cause for worry);

My itching is not due to fleas (there were none on me), mites
he took a skin scrape for that and there were none either. I
possibly have a food allergy (my moist food as these itchies
were happening before I was on the Royal Canin SO. He
said those itching fits are called "hyperasthesia" (sp. ?)
wherein the cat itches so badly that they look like they're
having a seizure.

II. DUCK AND PEA:

No, I'm not telling everycat to "duck and pee". This
is the bird mixed with the vegetable pea. This is one of
the RX foods that Dr. McMichael gave me to try out along
with something called "Z/D". So far, the duck and pea is
pretty good. I don't like the dry Z/D though. Yucky!!!
You know the duck and pea is good as Landy stole some
of it. He's such a pain when it comes to stealing others'
food being it Mommy's or ours!

III. CAMPY SAMPY:

So I could get used to eating my new food last night,
Mommy and I camped out in the computer room last night.
She wanted to monitor how much of this food I ate without
"you know who" stealing it. Of course, she had water and
my litterbox in the computer room too.

IV. THANK YOUS:

I thank the TABBIES O TROUT TOWN for their kind concats and
concerns. Mommy and I also thank all the Catster Moms
who showed their concerns for us on FB!

Lastly, the itchies have subsided. My fasting yesterday and
eating the duck and pea is so far working. Keep your paws crossed that this keeps up.

So glad you're feeling better, Sampy! I have allergy stuff that pops up now and again. Mom was told to take me off of food with gluten in it. I also sometimes have flair ups in my ears of yeast, which make me very itchy and irritable.
I am glad to hear the food is good! I have been given the Duck and Green pea Natural Balance, and don't like it.

oh noe sampy...

not burd and pea buddy...knot burd and pea tho trooth full lee if de ....ugh and pea werks... ya mite knot hazta eat de allergy foodz....

mite az well be chewin ona box we say huh.....

ya mite wanna look inta sum cosequin for yur bones ...that arthur itis dood iz nastee N wont wanna leeve ewe alone...low side litter box will help two :)

We sure hope your itchies get better, I like the duck and pea can food, I have been eating for a long time...

I also take cosequin my Vet suggested it for me because sometimes when I don't move for a while I am stiff...it is helping me.

We hope and we will pray you will be OK.

Thanks Violet, Xena, Da Tabbies & Smokie Boo for your concerns. I ate some more duck & pea moist this morning and tonight. Mommy offered me some of the Z/D dry and I refused to go beyond sniffing it. Still, I'm saying "yucky" to that.

Big hug's Sampy. I have slight arthritis in my front feet. When it's a real cold winter it can bother me a bit. We are praying for you. Please take it easy sweet kitty.
