Sampy here with some info from Wikepedia on International Talk Like a Pirate Day: "International Talk Like a Pirate Day (ITLAPD) is a parodic holiday created in 1995 by John Baur (Ol' Chumbucket) and Mark Summers (Cap'n Slappy), of Albany, Oregon, U.S., who proclaimed September 19th each year as the day when everyone in the world should talk like a pirate: For example, an observer of this holiday would greet friends not with "Hello," but with "Ahoy, matey!"

Since this "holiday" is coming up shortly, we plan on dressing as pirates starting this weekend. Mommy's going to help us with some new pirate pics and backgrounds! Can't Wait, mateys or is it "maties"? Anyway, we noticed some of our friends already have up their pirate decor.

Of our furmily, Landy aka "Lootin' Landy" makes the best pirate as he's always stealing something (or trying to steal something) around here be it food or things that aren't toys such as Mommy's car keys and camcorder to name a few.

Anyway, Mommy has to go now as Cam has her big day at the vet. She'll tell about this when she gets back.

Lastly, the sun finally came out yesterday and is still out today! What a blessing for all that rain to end! We thought we were going to have to build an ark! And, Mommy told us kitties that she saw the moon last night when she got home from her dinner at Plato's Diner. It was a welcome sight; lovely and full!
