Favorite Food: chicken, winter squash, spinach quiche, and of course whipped cream
Skills: He plays fetch like a dog. He will actually bring me a toy mouse or pom-pom balls and meows.
indoors and outdoors
Arrival Story: One day in 1997 I saw a photograph of five kittens that had that Maine Coon look. Underneath the photo it said "free kittens, all boys and below that was a phone number. This photo was attached to a bulletin board outside a grocery store in Solomon's Island, MD. I called the number and went to pick up Sampson (who I named after his dad. I just added the "Silver Dollar" part to it because he had a little bit of silver cast to his fur. The owner told me his dad was silver, longhaired and big. He hid the whole time I was there. I did get to see baby Sampson's mommy who was a tiny shorthair named Skimpy. She looked like a kitten herself.
Bio: Sampson or Sampy or Pooter is the most affectionate cat I have ever owned. He loves giving me sandpaper licks, especially in my hair or on my chin. When I sit down at the computer, he always wants on be on my lap and starts in with his kneading and drooling and licking and purring. Every night he sleeps with me behind my knees. He loves to play fetch and he initiates the game by bringing me toy mice or pom-pom balls. Sometimes at night he brings me mice or balls and I find them on the bedroom floor in the morning whereas they weren't there the night before. When Bentley passed away Sampson became more and more effectionate. It was like he was glued to me. I had to get him a playmate and I did so in June of 2005. His name is Bailey Gray Cloud and he will be entered also in Catster as one of my cats.

CAT OF THE WEEK:
It's sad to hear about the upcoming demise and shutdown of our lovely town. I hate the word "goodbye" and will miss everycat. I've made wonderful friends and some of you are in touch with Mommy through FB which is good. Still, we need our Catsterland! We've been here since March of 2006 which is a little over 10 years. Why oh why does anything enjoyable never last long??? Again,it's sad. Memories will live on, sure and at the same time we cannot go back here. Still we wish and pray for a miracle . . . will one come to save our beloved community???
Prayer upon prayers and being said for some kind of miracle.
Anyway, we have accrued tons of Zealies in our Kitty Bank Account and started to disburse some of them today. Mommy heard via the gravevine that our angel friend, Edgar, ran out of Zealies. We're helping him out so he could give out goodbye gifts. We're sharing the wealth and will send some out ourselves this week.
We understand so far that the shutdown day is now July 18th. Again, we're still hoping for that miracle.
Got to fly,
Love & purrs to all my friends on heaven and on earth.
Another year has gone by since my first year at the Bridge.
I'm doing fine and feeling great; no more heart and thyroid meds, no more needles and pain meds. What a relief! And to top it off, I get to be with my best bud in the whole world, angel Bentley! Of course, Camille Rose, Jasmine Bibette, Max and Isis are here along with many Catster friends who have made their journeys recently and in the past.
I notice that I've received some awesome gifts as follows:
Yesterday, I would have turned 18 years old had I been still on earth. I made my journey on September 12, 2014 (almost exactly two years after my sis, Camille Rose passed on). We are together and in the greatest health. She was the oldest living cat Mommy ever had (20 years).
At the Bridge, we had a huge celebration for my birthday. Salmon, chicken, and loads of catnip were the highlights of this party.
A few days before my birthday, the Bridge got another angel named KARMA KITTY. She had complications with an URI from which she never recovered. We send loads of prayers and love to her Mommy and family. She was also a Catster friend. There have been many kitties and doggies who journeyed last year and this year. So sad for their surviving families and we send prayers to them also.
I notice that I received many lovely gifts. Thank you my friends as follows:
1. CALLIE ROSE - pawsome pawmail;
2. BIG HARRY & Family - vase of flowers;
3. ELSA - vase of flowers
4. HOMER & KIBBLES - hugs;
5. MAC & IVY - hugs;
6. REBBY - bluebird;
7. PLATELICKER - bluebird;
8. HAZEL LUCY - baseball;
9. MILO BLUE EYES & Family - heart;
10. SMILEY CASANOVA & LUIGI - kite.
Again, thank you so much, my dear friends!
Also, we're still waiting for things to get repaired in Catsterland. Mommy loaded up my birthday pic but can't move it forward because an army of Catster fleas block her way. It's sad. Prayers that these fleas get exterminated soon.
Lastly, Bail had a birthday last week. He'll be doing his Diary late some time this week.
