Arrival Story: One day in 1997 I saw a photograph of five kittens that had that Maine Coon look. Underneath the photo it said "free kittens, all boys and below that was a phone number. This photo was attached to a bulletin board outside a grocery store in Solomon's Island, MD. I called the number and went to pick up Sampson (who I named after his dad. I just added the "Silver Dollar" part to it because he had a little bit of silver cast to his fur. The owner told me his dad was silver, longhaired and big. He hid the whole time I was there. I did get to see baby Sampson's mommy who was a tiny shorthair named Skimpy. She looked like a kitten herself.
Bio: Sampson or Sampy or Pooter is the most affectionate cat I have ever owned. He loves giving me sandpaper licks, especially in my hair or on my chin. When I sit down at the computer, he always wants on be on my lap and starts in with his kneading and drooling and licking and purring. Every night he sleeps with me behind my knees. He loves to play fetch and he initiates the game by bringing me toy mice or pom-pom balls. Sometimes at night he brings me mice or balls and I find them on the bedroom floor in the morning whereas they weren't there the night before. When Bentley passed away Sampson became more and more effectionate. It was like he was glued to me. I had to get him a playmate and I did so in June of 2005. His name is Bailey Gray Cloud and he will be entered also in Catster as one of my cats.

CAT OF THE WEEK:
As many of you now know, I made my journey to the Bridge on Friday, September 12, 2014. This was almost two years after Camille Rose made her journey September 14, 2012. Mommy found my lifeless body next to the big cat tree in her dining room. At the base of said tree is a grayish/green figure of a sleeping cat. I specifically chose this spot which wasn't my normal sleeping place on my day of departure (I had gone peacefully in my sleep). Mommy found me with my eyes closed.
I now am with Cam, Bentley, Beeta, Max and Isis (she made her journey five days before I was born).
Anyway, no more pills nor needles for this guy! I'm healthy and bouncing around like a kitten. It's amazing how lovely and warm it is at he Bridge. I also was visited by Mommy's Dad, Stepmom and her real Mom.
Lastly, I flew to earth and had a peak at my page when Mommy looked at it. There's many lovely gifts from my loving and caring friends. Wings, candles and many, many crowns and stars. Thank you all so much! I'll list these individual gifts later on his week, perhaps tonight, time permitting.
Well, I must fly back now. They're having a salmon pawty at the Bridge Seafood Restaurant.
I'm one of the Diary Picks today! That's great news! Thank you Diary Gal for this most pawsome honor!
Also, thank you MILO BLUE EYES & Family for the cool trophy and MAC & IVY for the kitty hugs. Everyone could use a lot of hugs these days!
Speaking of hugs, last week I was in a hugging mood so I gave Leila and Susie (techs at the vet's office) a few big Maine Coon type hugs. They all love to see me when I come for my fluids. They always, ask, "How ya doing, buddy?"
Also. after I get my fluids and arrive home, i want out of the carrier badly. As soon as Mommy opens it, I fly out as if I were shot out of a canon. I then go straight to the kitchen for a second dinner. Yep, my appetite is up! Unfortunately, I'm still skinny as a rail and have been losing a lot of tummy hair. Mommy said I might need to wear a sweater during the wintertime. We shall see about that.
Lastly, Mommy's Dad passed away on August 26th. She'll be going to the funeral services in late September. That means, Leila will be watching us kitties for several days. She'll drop by this Saturday to go over my medication schedule. She already knows how to give me my fluids so that part won't be difficult for her.
Anyway, it's great to see that Catster is starting to heal from the massive flea infestation. That is pawsome news.
Unbelievable! This is great news! We finally were able to visit the Diary Central at 2:30 a.m. Sunday Sept 7th! So here's my short, sweet note. Talk about a happy cat to that aspect!
Also, angel Bentley was able to add a new photo (number 70), but there was one contradictory note saying he reached his limit of 10. Oh, we'll, it shows that some of the flea infestation is taken care of. Hopefully, things will be ship-shape soon.
