Favorite Food: chicken, winter squash, spinach quiche, and of course whipped cream
Skills: He plays fetch like a dog. He will actually bring me a toy mouse or pom-pom balls and meows.
indoors and outdoors
Arrival Story: One day in 1997 I saw a photograph of five kittens that had that Maine Coon look. Underneath the photo it said "free kittens, all boys and below that was a phone number. This photo was attached to a bulletin board outside a grocery store in Solomon's Island, MD. I called the number and went to pick up Sampson (who I named after his dad. I just added the "Silver Dollar" part to it because he had a little bit of silver cast to his fur. The owner told me his dad was silver, longhaired and big. He hid the whole time I was there. I did get to see baby Sampson's mommy who was a tiny shorthair named Skimpy. She looked like a kitten herself.
Bio: Sampson or Sampy or Pooter is the most affectionate cat I have ever owned. He loves giving me sandpaper licks, especially in my hair or on my chin. When I sit down at the computer, he always wants on be on my lap and starts in with his kneading and drooling and licking and purring. Every night he sleeps with me behind my knees. He loves to play fetch and he initiates the game by bringing me toy mice or pom-pom balls. Sometimes at night he brings me mice or balls and I find them on the bedroom floor in the morning whereas they weren't there the night before. When Bentley passed away Sampson became more and more effectionate. It was like he was glued to me. I had to get him a playmate and I did so in June of 2005. His name is Bailey Gray Cloud and he will be entered also in Catster as one of my cats.

CAT OF THE WEEK:
This is my first Diary Pick from the Bridge. Thank you Diary Gal for this honor!
I also thank my following friendsfor their concats, gifts and pirate flags:
1. SMILEY & LUIGI - pawsome pawmail;
2. MILO BLUE EYES - cute bluebird & pirate flag;
3. ANGEL SONNY BONO - pirate flag;
4. ANNA & Family - pirate flag.
It's been a few hours after a week since I made my journey to the Bridge. Mommy's still sad about my passing and at the same time, she's happy that I no longer have to suffer from my declining health issues. Now, at the Bridge, no health issues exist for me or any fur. We're healthy and young again! I'm having a most pawsome time reuniting with my angel sibs and friends. We party all the time and eat whatever we want and never gain weight.
Lastly, I notice that Joss and Landy have bounced back from grieving for me. Merl seems to be taking it the hardest. Mommy and I believe he saw me pass on because that morning when she found my body, he was laying a few feet away from it; he still lays there to this day; not all day long though. I notice that Bail has gotten more friendly and I think it's because he's now the King of the house. He's even sleeping with Mommy more often and has given her nuzzles in her hair like I used to.
As many of you now know, I made my journey to the Bridge on Friday, September 12, 2014. This was almost two years after Camille Rose made her journey September 14, 2012. Mommy found my lifeless body next to the big cat tree in her dining room. At the base of said tree is a grayish/green figure of a sleeping cat. I specifically chose this spot which wasn't my normal sleeping place on my day of departure (I had gone peacefully in my sleep). Mommy found me with my eyes closed.
I now am with Cam, Bentley, Beeta, Max and Isis (she made her journey five days before I was born).
Anyway, no more pills nor needles for this guy! I'm healthy and bouncing around like a kitten. It's amazing how lovely and warm it is at he Bridge. I also was visited by Mommy's Dad, Stepmom and her real Mom.
Lastly, I flew to earth and had a peak at my page when Mommy looked at it. There's many lovely gifts from my loving and caring friends. Wings, candles and many, many crowns and stars. Thank you all so much! I'll list these individual gifts later on his week, perhaps tonight, time permitting.
Well, I must fly back now. They're having a salmon pawty at the Bridge Seafood Restaurant.
I'm one of the Diary Picks today! That's great news! Thank you Diary Gal for this most pawsome honor!
Also, thank you MILO BLUE EYES & Family for the cool trophy and MAC & IVY for the kitty hugs. Everyone could use a lot of hugs these days!
Speaking of hugs, last week I was in a hugging mood so I gave Leila and Susie (techs at the vet's office) a few big Maine Coon type hugs. They all love to see me when I come for my fluids. They always, ask, "How ya doing, buddy?"
Also. after I get my fluids and arrive home, i want out of the carrier badly. As soon as Mommy opens it, I fly out as if I were shot out of a canon. I then go straight to the kitchen for a second dinner. Yep, my appetite is up! Unfortunately, I'm still skinny as a rail and have been losing a lot of tummy hair. Mommy said I might need to wear a sweater during the wintertime. We shall see about that.
Lastly, Mommy's Dad passed away on August 26th. She'll be going to the funeral services in late September. That means, Leila will be watching us kitties for several days. She'll drop by this Saturday to go over my medication schedule. She already knows how to give me my fluids so that part won't be difficult for her.
Anyway, it's great to see that Catster is starting to heal from the massive flea infestation. That is pawsome news.
