indoors and outdoors
Arrival Story: One day in 1997 I saw a photograph of five kittens that had that Maine Coon look. Underneath the photo it said "free kittens, all boys and below that was a phone number. This photo was attached to a bulletin board outside a grocery store in Solomon's Island, MD. I called the number and went to pick up Sampson (who I named after his dad. I just added the "Silver Dollar" part to it because he had a little bit of silver cast to his fur. The owner told me his dad was silver, longhaired and big. He hid the whole time I was there. I did get to see baby Sampson's mommy who was a tiny shorthair named Skimpy. She looked like a kitten herself.
Bio: Sampson or Sampy or Pooter is the most affectionate cat I have ever owned. He loves giving me sandpaper licks, especially in my hair or on my chin. When I sit down at the computer, he always wants on be on my lap and starts in with his kneading and drooling and licking and purring. Every night he sleeps with me behind my knees. He loves to play fetch and he initiates the game by bringing me toy mice or pom-pom balls. Sometimes at night he brings me mice or balls and I find them on the bedroom floor in the morning whereas they weren't there the night before. When Bentley passed away Sampson became more and more effectionate. It was like he was glued to me. I had to get him a playmate and I did so in June of 2005. His name is Bailey Gray Cloud and he will be entered also in Catster as one of my cats.

CAT OF THE WEEK:
Last evening CHAI, one of our family's great friends, made her journey to the Bridge. Now, she's a lovely angel with blue wings to match her blue eyes.
Her sister SUGAR,who made her journey earlier last year, welcomed her with all angels who have crossed over last year and years before. I was one of them.
All of us are enjoying our 10th life as angels. As you know, I made my journey two years after Camille Rose did in September. Mine was September 12, 2014 and her's was September 14, 2014.
This year and last year have been sad for all our human parents as they had to say their goodbyes. I went on my own as did Isis and Jasmine Bibette. Camille Rose passed after dental surgery and the others had to be given the final gifts of love as they were so sick that they could not eat; Bentley and Max.
Be assured that Chai and all angels and pain free and young again. We romp and play and, of course, fly. Food and water are plentiful and the fields are filled with flowers of all colors. Whatever food we so desire appears before us with a blink of the eye.
I peek in at Mommy and my sibs often. I see them and they see me. I've seen Mommy look at them when they stare into space. Of course, that's when they see my spirit. I know Mommy feels my presence at times though she's never actually seen me. She made a video of Joss last year not too long after I passed, and a white wispy form drifted behind Joss when she stood in the hallway. The video is on FB and some of her friends saw it too. No one could explain what it was. Mommy thinks it was me and then again it could have been a reflection of car headlights shining through the window behind her. I know it was me.
Anyway, we are now awaiting the new Catster platform which is scheduled for this spring. I can't wait as Mommy took a lot of pics of me and my sibs and can't move them to the front. We can do diaries but no one can comment on them even though they can see them. There are no diaries of the day and that has been on a long hiatus (I guess that's the proper word) and the Diary Gal has been laid off until the new flea free platform is up and running.
Well, that's about it. I close with angelic purrs for Chai's family and ours and others during these sad days on earth
This is my first Diary Pick from the Bridge. Thank you Diary Gal for this honor!
I also thank my following friendsfor their concats, gifts and pirate flags:
1. SMILEY & LUIGI - pawsome pawmail;
2. MILO BLUE EYES - cute bluebird & pirate flag;
3. ANGEL SONNY BONO - pirate flag;
4. ANNA & Family - pirate flag.
It's been a few hours after a week since I made my journey to the Bridge. Mommy's still sad about my passing and at the same time, she's happy that I no longer have to suffer from my declining health issues. Now, at the Bridge, no health issues exist for me or any fur. We're healthy and young again! I'm having a most pawsome time reuniting with my angel sibs and friends. We party all the time and eat whatever we want and never gain weight.
Lastly, I notice that Joss and Landy have bounced back from grieving for me. Merl seems to be taking it the hardest. Mommy and I believe he saw me pass on because that morning when she found my body, he was laying a few feet away from it; he still lays there to this day; not all day long though. I notice that Bail has gotten more friendly and I think it's because he's now the King of the house. He's even sleeping with Mommy more often and has given her nuzzles in her hair like I used to.
As many of you now know, I made my journey to the Bridge on Friday, September 12, 2014. This was almost two years after Camille Rose made her journey September 14, 2012. Mommy found my lifeless body next to the big cat tree in her dining room. At the base of said tree is a grayish/green figure of a sleeping cat. I specifically chose this spot which wasn't my normal sleeping place on my day of departure (I had gone peacefully in my sleep). Mommy found me with my eyes closed.
I now am with Cam, Bentley, Beeta, Max and Isis (she made her journey five days before I was born).
Anyway, no more pills nor needles for this guy! I'm healthy and bouncing around like a kitten. It's amazing how lovely and warm it is at he Bridge. I also was visited by Mommy's Dad, Stepmom and her real Mom.
Lastly, I flew to earth and had a peak at my page when Mommy looked at it. There's many lovely gifts from my loving and caring friends. Wings, candles and many, many crowns and stars. Thank you all so much! I'll list these individual gifts later on his week, perhaps tonight, time permitting.
Well, I must fly back now. They're having a salmon pawty at the Bridge Seafood Restaurant.
