Arrival Story:
I purchased Bentley from a pet store in 1991. He was the only boy in a litter of three (two sisters) and he was about three months old at that time. I thought he was a little too hairy to be a shorthair, (he was passed off as a domestic shorthair) and as he grew up he turned into one beautiful ball of fluff! He was a van-patterned brown tabby.

Bio:
Bentley was my pride and joy, my show cat, my love. I miss him dearly. He passed away on May 23, 2005 of kidney failure. When he was alive and well, he was in many CFA shows and Household Pet Shows. He won many ribbons. A lot of them were first through third place. He was shown for ten years 1993 - 2003. He was also in the centerfold of Cat Fancy in 1993 in an article entitled "Oddly Marked Cats". He also appeared in Cat Fancy in another article entitled "How Cats Play" which I believe was during the same year. He also appeared in the anthologies of John Guevin's "Uncommon Cats" and "More Uncommon Cats" and in the Scratch Sheet" magazine of "The Maine Coon Breeder's and Fanciers Association" The article was entitled "Apparent Maine Coons". Also, I wrote a short story about him entitled "Bentley: An American Plume Tail" which appeared in the magazine "I Love Cats" in 1993. Yes, Bentley was my special cat . . . my celebrity! Words alone cannot convey how much I love and miss my dear Bentley. Now he is at the Rainbow Bridge along with my other dear cats which I will later add to this site: Jasmine Bibette, Max and Isis. I will also enter his friend who is still living, my 8-year-old Sampson (pictured getting an ear wash from Bentley). Bailey Gray Cloud, who is my newest fur baby and Bentley's replacement show cat, will also be entered in my cat family. Cammie will also be entered. My mom passed away and I got Cammie, who is a beautiful shorhaired tortie with white. My newest addition will be Merlin who is about three months old will be picked up this week. He is solid black. Lastly, today is Bentley's birthday, March 15th. If he was still alive he would have turned 15. I was thinking a lot of him today because of this. I still love and will always miss my pretty angel baby cat.

This is another test. There are serious diary fleas hopping about and they're not going away. *tears*.

Hopefully, everything is back to normal soon.

TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!

I was born on March 15,1991. Therefore, if I were still on earth, I would be 20 years old today! I left this world a couple months after I turned 14 years old on May 23, 2005 (my Bridge anniversary)because of CRF.

I thank my good friends HOOCH & Crew for the lovely rainbow; Simone, River & Family for the cool four leaf clover; and Chef Rooster & Family for their pawsome pawmail; Felix Honey Angel for the leprechaun's hat; and Milo, smokey Joe & Family for the cool picture comment. I also thank HQ for the new "Today is My Birthday" announcement on my page and the no. 5 on my cake for my Catster anniversary.

I'm feeling pawtastic at the Bridge and believe me, we're having an all day pawty for me. I'm singing like in one of my pictures.

Lastly, I wish every earthbound cat and those at the Bridge a very happy St. Patrick's Day. I also wish my family and Mommy the same.

Breeeeeeps,

Bent

AN ANGEL NAMED BOENE

After I had been at the Bridge for a few months, I was approached by a lovely angel. She wore a long white flowing dress and her curly brown hair floated like a cloud around her lovely face. I recognized her even though she didn't look anything like she did when I last saw her (87 years old with long white hair). She was Mommy's Mom, Boene (pronounced Bo-eena) my human grandma. Yes, it was five years ago today when she passed away from what is called congestive heart failure and left another hole in Mommy's heart.

I remember grandma Boene so much as she always gave me and Sampy pieces of chicken; she also gave him whipped cream.

I know Mommy is always sad at this time of year. She still misses her Mom and knows she's in a better place now as she was in a lot of pain during her last days on earth.

Grandma Boene and her two white cats, Junior and Brother visit me and Jasmine Bibette, Max and Isis quite often. She has also introduced us to her angel sibs: Catherine, Florence, Dorothy, Andrew, Gerard, Clarence, Luella, Gertrude and Adele. They are all beautiful angels and throw many picnics for the angel kitties at the Bridge.

On this day, I send many angelic purrs to Mommy to help her make it through this very sad day.

Purrs & Breeps,

Bent
