Arrival Story: I decided to get a cat and wanted a big, fat, fluffy, longhaired cat. Decided on the ragdoll breed. I got Simon without ever having seen him in person, from a cattery I found in the paper and checked out online. But from the second I saw him, I knew he was the cat for me! He got his name "Ladykiller" because he was such a cute little fuzzball, all the girls would "oooh" and "aaah" over him.
Bio: Simon loves his momma. He doesn't like strangers. But if there's company over and he's in the mood, he'll come over and be very chatty, and meows this weird meow like a bird chirping...but he only does that when people are over. Simon snores, and once or twice panted like a dog with his tongue out when we played a long time. He likes to be sure I don't ever forget him when I'm out by shedding on everything, especially all my nice black clothes. When I come home he's waiting at the door and follows me everywhere. He's a great singer, too, and loves singing in the stairway REALLY loudly. I love this furball...so much so that I cried about leaving him for a week when I went on a super cool vacation. I got over it, of course, but was SOOO happy to be back and see him!

I've Been On Catster Since:
I love to eat kibble. I used to eat the canned stuff, but I just changed my mind back in the day and stopped eating it.
My meowmy was trying to feed me good food, because I always get constipated. She was feeding me kibble for "Digestive Health" (whatever that is) and "Healthy Skin and Coat" (probably because she finds my luxurious long locks difficult to manage and doesn't like my dandruff). Well, she found out that the "Digestive Health" cat food was actually for cats that were having loose stool, not hard poops like me!!! Nice one, Meowmy.
Well now she's got me on Innova Evo, which she says is good because it's grain free and low carb. I like it, it tastes yummy. My poops are smaller and easier to pass now. And she's trying real hard to get me to eat the canned stuff again. Sometimes I eat it, sometimes I just lick the sauce off a little. She's trying different kinds, bless her heart. I think I like the Cowboy Cookout one. So I usually do good and eat it for her.
Ugh, she's also brushing me like ALL THE TIME. I try to groom myself but I do have lots of tangles and then they get matted together. So I guess its good when she brushes them out with that funky brush that's sharp and cuts them. I still don't like being brushed (no matter which brush she uses) when she goes for the tangles. But I try to be nice and not bite her too hard when I get mad.
She also has this new hu-mi-di-fi-er thingy in our bedroom. It's quiet and neat, and spits out clouds of cool moist air. I love to go stick my nose in the clouds and sniff it! And she's been good and 3 water bowls for me, including one in the bedroom.
Well, I should get back to napping. Later kitties!!
Wow, it's been over a year since mommy moved me to this new place. I like it here, it's big, lots of stairs to run up and down and places to hide. There's these two people that live here, a man and woman. They put ice in my water bowl pretty much everytime I go to it. I sit and stare at the corner until they figure it out..."hello!!! Simon needs ice here!!!" They've always wanted to pet me but I held out for a long loooong time. I let the man start petting me a few months ago, and I'll even purr for him. The woman though, I don't know...for some reason I just felt like making her wait to get the priviledge of petting me. I'm just now starting to let her pet me. And only for a little bit, and then I paw at her to let her know I'm done. I have a great wicker chair that they obviously had waiting just for me, because it's the perfect nap spot. The cushion is comfy, and I like to scratch my claws on the wicker arms. I can play on it too, even with those two people, I like doing that. And it's right by the front window so I can see what's going on. When I hear mommy's car and see her coming home, I run to the front door to meet her. She loves that. Other than working hard at my job of sleeping, eating, and generally looking cute, I get the occassional playful bursts and run around the house like a maniac. Sometimes I will sing for everyone real loud, I don't think they get it though. These two other people come over a lot and they bring this big ol' nasty brown dog over. He's huge, like 95 pounds. But I show him who's boss. I hiss and claw at him, and I scratched him a few times too. He pretty much leaves me alone now when they come over. There was a time back in the winter when I got sick. I didn't eat, I peed all over my mommy's bed, and I threw up all over the house. It wasn't fun. She took me to that evil place which was even less fun, but then I started feeling better. Might be those pills and stuff she shoved down my throat, but I don't know. Well, I've got a busy afternoon planned here that I need to get back to. Sleeping on the chair, eating, drinking some ice water, then sleeping on mommy's bed, then back on the chair for when she comes home. Later!
Today mom took me to that evil place, the vet clinic. I hate when she does this. I really don't like strangers, and I don't like being in a strange place on top of that. She puts me in this box with a lid and holes in it. As if that's ok, I know I love sitting in boxes but this is different. Then they have to "sedate" me. They put me in "the tranq tank", it's so mean.
After a while she brought me home again, and I was all drugged out. I just layed there, with my eyes half open and my tongue sticking out. I hope she felt bad!!
And it only gets worse, now she stuck some little pills down my throat. I don't know what her problem is. I know I haven't been going pee very well, and I've peed around the apartment, but do I deserve this torture??
Mom did ask them how much I weigh, is she insinuating I have a weight problem?! They said I weighed a nice 15 pounds 9 ounces :)
