My time has come to say goodbye

Tomorrow I am going to the Rainbow Bridge. After 17 yrs 8 mos this old body of mine has all but given out. I'm totally blind, I'm lucky if I weigh 5 lbs as I have been pretty much reduced to skin and bones. I can no longer make it to the kitty box. Mommy has been feeding me moist food several times a day but some days I just don't want to eat. My breathing at times is very labored. Mommy is sad to say goodbye to me because she has never had a pet live this long before. I've seen her through a lot good and bad. But now mommy knows it's time to say goodbye and to release me from this old tired body and to let me run and play and be pain free. I'll be able to see again. I'll be meeting up with Tucker Bunns, Mama Kitty, Fuzzy Wuzzy, JJ, Junior and Jasper there at the bridge. I'd like to say goodbye to all my friends but remember we will all see each other again when it is your time to come to the bridge.

Going blind

It sure is the pits getting old. I have now lost my eye sight. I am having a very difficult time getting around the house. Mommy thinks I should have it memorized by now since I have lived here for about 10 years but I haven't. Mommy keeps finding me wondering around the house looking for the kitty door. Sometimes she finds me just sitting looking like I'm starring at the wall but I don't know it cuz I can't see. I keep loosing my balance and one day mommy found me laying in the water dish trying to keep my head above the water. That really scarred her. I'm loosing a lot of weight even though mommy is feeding me double what she use too. She said as long as I still eat she won't send me to the rainbow bridge just for being old and blind.
