Arrival Story:
Henrietta was brought to the vet. hospital where I work, to be euthanized because she was "swatting at" the owner's toddler. My co-worker and I decided that she didn't deserve to die for such a poor reason, and we rescued her. She is now at the hospital boarding, but is going to go live either at the Humane Society of Utah or at Petsmart with another rescue.

Henrietta is a big, sweet, girl. She didn't like it when we shaved her belly to look for a spay scar (yes, she's spayed) but she loves her chin and ears scratched and has been very mellow otherwise. She has the sweetest face. UPDATE! Henrietta went to a new home on March 16. So far I haven't been asked to take her back, so that's good! : ) As long as she can get along with her new cat sister Reba she should be fine, as her new mom liked her right off the bat! MORE UPDATE! I heard from Henrietta's new mom a couple of weeks ago, and she is doing just fine. She sleeps a lot, and gets along okay with her new sister. August 12, 2006--I just got a message from Henrietta's new mom (who had named her Shyla) that she passed away this morning. She had been quite sick for a while, and at first responded to treatment but then got worse again. I will always remember her, and appreciate her new mom for giving her five months more of life than she would have had.
