Buddy Boy

Sad Final Update

Approximately 5:30PM tonight Buddy left us for the Rainbow Bridge. he put up a galant fight to get better, but he just refused to eat. We took him to the vet this evening and he said the condition he was in we could have maybe taken him to the UofM and had the tumor possibly removed, but he said in all honesty even if we did that the vet did not think his survival rate would be very high. I know he was in a lot of pain these last few days. I'm just happy now that he's not in pain anymore. I will miss him terribly as well will the rest of my family and especially Elvis (our other kitty) his BFF. I want to thank everyone that sent me kind words and advice and prays for Buddy. Buddy and I both appreciated them.

Update

Unfortunately Buddy is still not eating I'm really not sure how he's going on I've managed to get a little food down him, but the antibiotics don't seem to be working. I'm going to call the vet in the morning and ask him what he thinks and I'll update again tommorow or within the next couple days. Thanks to everyone who has been sending such kind words and prayers towards Buddy. He really is a sweet heart.

Status Report

Buddy still will not eat although I did squirt some water in his mouth and some beef broth to try to stimulate him to want to eat didn't work I also bought some high calorie gel stuff you are supposed to give to cats who won't eat or won't eat a lot and I put a little on his lips and he licked that off and I've tried that a few times he always licks it off. he hasn't lost much strenght though when we try and give him his antibiotics he fights like crazy he's always been like that. maybe the antibiotics will start to kick in now. cross your fingers!!
