We had not gotten Baby to eat since Thursday evening. Saturday her
Daddy took her to the Vet( See previous Entries).
By Sunday A.M. when I (her Mom) woke up @ 5:00A.M. Baby was To weak to move or she didn't want to. I put food in her mouth, but she would not swallow it. She would not even hold her head up for me.
as the morning went on she got less & less responsive to me. After her Dad got up he went in to see her. She would not respond for him either.
When he came out to the dining room we discussed her condition, We
decided that maybe it was time to let her go. We called our vet, & made arrangements to meet him at the office in 1 hour. I got Baby & wrapped her in a blanket, & headed to the truck. The moment I stepped out on the
patio she started fighting to get out of the blanket. She continued to
struggle after we were in the truck. I let her get out of the blanket, & she climbed to the back of the seat, onto her Daddy's shoulder & started purring & rubbing on his face.
The vet said that she didn't look as lifeless as we had said she was. We ask him for his opinion. He said for me to try force feeding her for a while.
We came home by 11:30. I was able to syringe feed her a total of 3.5 Oz.
of food before bed time. I also fed her 1 oz @ 3:30 this morning before I left for work.
I returned home 1 hour ago dreading the next attempt at feeding her.
to my surprise, She was at the door Crying loudly!!! I went to her room with a fresh Can of food. All the while she kept meowing loudly. I put it down & she ate about 1 ounce of food with out stopping. I don't know how long the appetite will or will not last, But I am thankful for it.

My eye is healing great now!! I have a new med for ulcers. They were brought on by the steroids. I have a touch of kitty cold ,So I am on antibotic for that too.
