Arrival Story:
Scooter came to us from Cat Welfare in Columbus, Ohio. We'd had her brother max for a year or so and he was quite a mouthy little cat. So, we decided that he needed a friend. This is when Cat Welfare was in their old building with cats literally hanging from the rafters. We walked through one Saturday and found her all the way in the back in a cage... she looked a little forlorned at first but warmed up to us - so she became part of our family. At the time, she was about 6-9 months old. Judging by the number on her collar, it looks like she'd been there since she was a wee one.
We always joke that she didn't have a mom to teach her how to be a cat... she's not really good at protecting her tail, she's very touchy about her neck and really didn't know how to meow. At first she was anti-social, but she warmed up quickly and over the years has learned all the bad cat habits from her dopey brother.
