I came home from work today and found Simon in his final stages of dying. I had about 10 minutes with him before he took his last breath. He was my first stray that I took in and he will always have a special place in my heart. I will never forget the day I met him. He was the alpha kitty and always will be. I always called him my handsome kitty. He was the friendliest cat you could imagine. He would greet and rub up against everyone that came through the door. Everyone knew who Simon was. I just can't believe he's gone now. Rest in peace my sweet handsome young man. I will see you again some day. I love you Simon and will miss you always. I'm going to miss the headbutt kisses you always gave me! I'm so glad you picked me as your human. Thank you for sharing your life with me! I am the lucky one and will cherish you always. Kisses sweet Simon. Till we're together again...

Well, we had quite a birthday celebration in our house last night!!! Now the house is a mess and mom really needs to get off her lazy butt and clean it up! Geez...let me tell you...good help is so hard to find around here!!!
After mom finally came home from work, she decided to give us our birthday meal. We always get Fancy Feast on special occasions. With that said, we all know that when mom grabs all those little plates, they make a certain sound which lets us know we're getting a treat. Oh my cats! We all just seem to come out of the woodwork! Last night was no exception! Mom knows that she has a very limited time to grab the plates, the fork, and the Fancy Feast and make a mad dash for the laundry room. That's the room closest to the kitchen that has a door on it so mom can divide the Fancy Feast without us getting in the way. Unfortunately for mom, we're right on the other side of the door and we cry at the top of our lungs because we know what's coming. Usually it's just maybe 3 or 4 of us that cry for the wet food, but last night must have been remnants of the full moon in action. I don't think there wasn't one of us that didn't sound off! Mom was shocked at our reaction. Of course as soon as the door was open, we charged the food dishes. With 11 of us right on the other side of the door, mom really had a hard time controlling us so that she could bring all the dishes out for each of us. Mom has to put the dishes down in separate locations so that we don't fight or steal each other's food.
Let me tell you about the Fancy Feast that she got for us this time. She got us some Fancy Feast Elegant Medley's (White Meat Chicken & Cheddar Cheese Souffle with Garden Greens). Oh my catness!!! It has got to be the best thing we've ever eaten. Tigger didn't eat hers, so we got to eat it. Bonus!!! Then we got to roll around in the catnip, stomp on the catnip bubbles, and chase the laser light around! Woohoo!!! After all that, you'd think we would be tired, but that wasn't the case. When mom tried to go to sleep, we were wired. Do you believe that she had the nerve to close the bedroom door and lock us out? We couldn't believe it!!! Mom got up a few hours later and opened her door again because we led her to believe that we had settled down. NOT!!! That was just a rouse to get her to open the door. How gullable!!! We did settle down a little while after we got on the bed though. We didn't want to get kicked out again.
Yesterday, Princess, Shelby and I got rosettes, stars, pmails and friendship requests for our birthday yesterday from quite a few kitties. Today, I hope we've personally thanked each one for their generosity. Right now, I'd like to take a few moments and thank those kitties again. Thank you's go out to: Sammie and

Woohoo! I'm a birthday boy today! Thank you to all my kitty friends that have sent rosies wishing me a Happy Birthday! I'll send thank you's out to all later and update my diary too.
Can you believe it? I'm 5 today!!! There's 3 of us furbutts in our family that celebrate our 5th birthday today! There's me (of course), Princess and Shelby. Tanner has a birthday on Monday. That's a lot of birthdays in our family.
We have to wait for mom to come home from work. There better be presents for us too. If not, there's going to be a riot in our house. Mom got some Fancy Feast out and set it on the counter top. Mom says we have catnip and catnip bubbles too and we can't forget the laser light thingy. Did I tell you that mom's growing fresh catnip again for us. We can't get at it this time because it's outside. Mom made the mistake of putting the last planter on top of the fishtank. She came home a few times and found it dumped over on the floor and potting soil scattered everywhere. Most of the plant was gone too. I'm not sure what happened and you can't prove otherwise. Mom keeps threatening that she's going to put up a camera to see what goes on while she's not home, but she hasn't done it yet. So, like I said, you can't prove anything!
Oh well. Time to take a catnap and get ready for our birthday celebration later. Happy Birthday to all the Catster kitties that have a birthday today! It's a great day, isn't it?!!! Happy Birthday to my sisters Princess and Shelby! We're 5 today!!!
