It's time.

Wednesday, January 28th, Evening.

My Nanna thinks it is time for a final vet visit. Please- advise.

Nanna and Mama have never had to euthanize a pet before. But I've lost 2 pounds in the last six weeks and sometimes I have lots of trouble swallowing. They will be making the appointment soon. They plan to say goodbye to me at home. Then they don't know if they should go with me and Papa to the appointment. They do know that they will not be present when I get the shot. A very good veterinarian friend told them he does not go in when it is his pet because things don't always go smoothly and it is just too traumatic. But should they say a final goodbye to me after I've stopped struggling to live in this worn out body? Of course, I will already be in Rainbow heaven, but if it will comfort them or help them in their grief then I want them to do that. Do you think it would be better for Mama and Nanna to stay home and maybe light a candle for me as they pray me through?

I heard them wonder out loud if I'm supposed to go with an empty tummy or should they give me a sedative, None of this sounds good to me. I am glad I do not anticipate things the way they do.

Of course they will probably cry. That is because they have loved me very much for all of my eleven years. But maybe you know what they can do to help them make it through that first day or on days when they are really, really sad.

Thank you for all your prayers. I have been strong and brave. My family is proud of me and grateful to have had a full year with me after my cancer was diagnosed. I will always remember the cuddles and the fresh salmon. I've had a good life.

Rainbow: My mommy put a te-shirt on me for the first time ever. I didn't like getting it put on but now that its on I kinda like it. Its cool looking. I wonder if I can keep it.

Mews & News/What Cats Are For

I'm sorry I haven't witten in like furever. My mommy has been really busy! I have been wondering if I have been to lazy for my own good. But then I read Garfield and I realize there are lazier cats than me and it's ok, after all thats what cats are for right? (What Cats Are For; Being Lazy, Being A Comforter to our families, Making people smile by pretending that we like our humans' friends, Making people smile by rubbing and head-bunting and laying on laps, I could go on furever but I don't think my human likes typing everything I me-howl at her) My all time favorite lazt thing to do is sleep/catnap on my mommy's bed. She enjoys my company and I get the comfort of practically a whole bed to myself. Meow4now Rainbow

My human says I am a very smart cat. Of Course I knew that from the start but she is beginning to figure it out. My human saw me jump from her bed to her directors chair about 4 feet away. I could have done better with my eyes closed but she doesn't know that. Anyway I can also climb ladders and get into some very strange places. Oh and I can also play N64 as well. (mind you I didn't win) My humans only caught me once though, so there may not be any pictures. Meow4Now

My owners love to travel, but they always leave me behind. I know I wouldn't like going, but somebody new comes into our house to feed me every time. Could you email me to tell me how to cope with being alone for at least a week? Meowie Meow.

Hey What Is My Human Doing...

My human says she is making me a website. I find it very interesting I can see my picture on the machine she is working on.
I love my sister (no matter what my human says) but she is a very prissy cat.
