Arrival Story:
Our neighbor moved and left behind their female Maine Coon. She started coming over to our yard and was very friendly. We didn't know that she was pregnant until one day I came home from work and there she was with two kittens on our porch. She and the kittens were taken to the vet and checked out, and when the kittens were old enough and had been weaned Mr. Whiskers and his sister Tigger stayed with us and their mother Pugsly was adopted by a nice lady at the vet clinic.

Bio:
Mr. Whiskers is bigger than the other cats but he's a big scaredy cat and runs from even Pee Wee. He's very lovable and will sleep in my bed only when I am in it. Mister Whiskers died October 29, 2008. Apparently he was on my headboard looking out the window, got startled and fell. This was nothing new, he fell off the headboard all the time, but this time his head hit either the headboard or window sill and in an instant my precious Whisker-Kitty was gone. I miss him so much, and I hope he knows that I love him and will never, ever forget him.

Just a big ol' scaredy cat


I was brave today...

...but only for a few minutes. Some strange man was beating on the front door this morning, and Mommy acted really scared because she didn't know him and he just kept beating and beating. I guess seeing Mommy scared is what made me act, I jumped into the living room window and hit it really hard, which made the man leave the front door to look and see who was at the window. As soon as he was close enough to the window I growled really loud and I showed him my teeth. I must have done a really good impression of a mountain lion because he backed away from the window and then he left the yard.

Then I realized what I had done and I jumped out of that window to hide under the coffee table. Mommy kept saying that I was her big brave boy and that it was ok to come out, but I stayed hidden.

What was I thinking?
