He eats with his "hands". When he just wants a bite, he reached down and picks up his food with his paw and puts it in his mouth a bite at a time.

Arrival Story:
We had adopted an adult Siamese when we lost our beloved Flame Point, and he didn't work out. So we took him back to the shelter and asked if there were any kittens with siamese in them, and the worker just reached into a cage and pulled him out. He was about 4-5 weeks old, and we fell in love with him.

Bio:
His name comes from the Mexican word for Possum. He looked like a baby possum when we got him, all blue underfur and long silver guard hair, and a skinny little pencil tail held in the air and walked on his tippy toes. He was bottle fed for about 3 weeks after we got him.

It's My Birthday - and I'm Missing :-(


I'm back!

Well, I was gone about 6 days! Seems I went to the neighbor's workshop where he works on old cars and decided to take a little nap - and he didn't know I was there and locked it up! Evidently, I ate a few mice and whatever I could catch to survive. Boy did I get skinny! But I seem to be OK now. How scary! There's where one of my lives went! Mee-o-o-o-ow!

Quatchie and his brother & sister have always been indoor/outdoor kitties. From the age of about 6 months, we have allowed them the freedom to go outdoors and play, and they always came when we called them to go to bed indoors. However, last Wednesday, Quatchie and Geezer and Millie all met me at the door when I drove in from work - as usual, and got a bite to eat and drink. Shortly afterward, they all wanted back out to play a bit more before dark. When we called them in for the night - he didn't respond. We have about 1- 1/2 acres of back yard and pasture, and we looked everywhere, and he hasn't shown up :-( We've looked all over. We have no idea. There are coyotes in the area behind our pasture, and there are snakes as well, so there is that possibility, but we just don't know :-( We miss you Quatchie!
