Skills: not really a skill but she would drool profusley when petted
Arrival Story: Penny was brought to me as a tiny several day old kitting clinging to life. She improved over the next ten days then had a case of calici virus that I wasn't sure she would survive. She had terrible mouth ulcers and had to be tube fed. She survived it to become an adorablre healthy seeming kitten. When she was about 2 she developed terrible gum infections and was put on medication and she had her teeth cleaned several times over the years but she still suffers from gum infections.
Bio: Sadly Penny has renal failure and will probably not be with us much longer. She is getting fluids, pred and antibiotics and gets to eat whatever she wants at this point. She was always tiny to begin with but now there isn't much to her at all. She still loves to be cuddled and petted and still has an appetite so I don't feel her time is up yet. We do everything we can to keep her comfortable until she can tell us she is ready to leave us. We will miss her so. I feel her kidneys were damaged when she was tiny as a result of her infection.
3-3-2006 Penny left us today, her heart finally gave out. I had discussed bringing her in this evening to my vets and told her it was OK to leave and she passed away about an hour later at home. I burried her in the garden and put a Bird of Paradise on her grave she will always be missed.....
