Arrival Story:
I used to breed and show Scottish Fold cats. I got a call from a friend and they said someone who I had sold a cat a few years back had a pregnant female they were going to put to sleep unless I wanted her. Poor little girl was not good quality and was really timid, she should have never been bred! She had five kittens, I placed all of them in homes except for Nala, she didn't like anyone! She is a funny beautiful cat. When we made the outside area she moved out there and has never wanted to come in.

Bio:
After reading about all the Scottish Folds posted on catster I realized most people have very little knowledge about this sweet beautiful breed of cat. The gene that makes the ears fold is an incomplete dominant gene, you always should breed a cat with straight ears to a folded one. Only about fifty percent of the kittens will be born folded and you don't know for 3 weeks! If you breed two cats together with folded ears you get more folded kittens but you also get severe skeletal defects, a shortened tail, fusion of the vetrebrae, toe deformaties and the cats develope severe arthritis. It is very sad for me to see cats like this posted here. I bred them because I truely loved the breed, not for money or as a buisness. That is what people should look for when buying any purebred animal, someone who shows so they know their animals are quality, breeds once or twice a year and doesn't have a housefull of cats in cages!
