A TIRING DAY BUT WORTH IT!

Being a prinCESS can be so demanding and yet so satisfying. Yesterday, MomMEE dressed me in my new St. Patrick's Day dress, and we made a social call on the retirement home. Well, let me tell you. . .all heads turned in my direction, and MomMEE had to take me around to all the people so that they could admire me and tell me what a pretty lady I am. See, I ride on MomMEE's shoulder, and that in itself causes quite a stir, but when I'm dressed in one of my holiday gowns. . .well, the people just can't get enough.

It's a good thing to make people smile, and MomMEE feels blessed that she and I can do this good thing.

Continuing Good Health

Well, MomMEE had me consult with my personal physician last week, and he said I'm very healthy! YAY! He wanted blood work (ugh) done, so I was serviced by my private nurse, Miss Stephanie; by my personal physician's instructions, she is the only one allowed to service me - the only one worthy! ;) The blood work came back all normal, so my chronic anemia is being managed very well, although it means I have to take my tonic every day, and on three days, there's a yucky pill mixed in with it. Sigh. Oh well - it's worth it because my personal physician remarked on how very pink I am!

After my medical consult, MomMEE took me to the retirement community, where I'm a huge hit. Naturally. :) The ladies really admire me, especially one nice lady called Lori; I sat with her for quite a while, and she kept stroking me and smiling and saying what a good girl I am. MomMEE was so proud! And I made Lori smile, and that's always a good thing, to make someone smile. I need to return to the hospital next week for my triennial combo shot, so MomMEE says I can make another social call that day, since the hospital is close to the retirement community. We royals do have our social obligations, you know.

Wow, MomMEE could hardly believe it when she got the word! This is so exciting - something we never expected. My gift box is getting so full of lovely presents; it's taking MomMEE quite a while to extend our gratitude to everyone. I'm celebrating by sleeping in; it can be so demanding to be in the public eye - but so nice to meet so many friendly cats!

Teddy tagged me to tell 7 things about me, so here goes:

1) I was thrown out & left to die, but I found MaMEE; we saved each other.

2) My left eyeball was ruptured, so I'm blind in that eye
3) I am a prinCESS
4) I don't like to be held, and I am not carried around like a purse; I ride on MaMEE's shoulder (wearing, of course, my delicate pink safety harness and leash)
5) I'm forced to live with a juvenile delinquent named Blue because someone left him here and no one but MaMEE would give him a home.
6) I am petite, and MaMEE says I am precious, too.
7) I have a personal physician and a private nurse.
